"I despise giving a 1 star review but after sitting on and thinking about my overall experience for almost a month, I feel that it’s important to share this with others. My husband and I chose Nutmeg State for the lender for our smart-e loan for our new central air conditioning unit. There were several options of lenders however I chose Nutmeg because they had a good reputation and I like using a credit union rather than a standard bank. Everything started off smoothly and our loan officer was responsive initially but that all went downhill rather quickly. She stopped responding to our emails and phone calls. My husband left her several messages with no response. We were pre-approved for the loan with no problem but due to the lack of response and delays from our loan officer, the 30 days passed with no action from her and we had to reapply for the loan again which meant another inquiry on our credit reports and both of our credit scores decreased again, all due to this representative’s lack of response. When we finally got her on the phone after months of no communication, she stated she was having issues with her phone and never received our missed calls or voicemails, which I don’t believe for a second. Also, she didn’t respond to my emails either, so was that system broken too? Once we actually spoke with her and explained that we were very unhappy with the situation, she was magically able to resolve it and issued a check to our vendor within a week but the damage was already done and the trust had been broken. Our experience was abysmal and I would not recommend using Nutmeg State as a lender for your loan."

"Machines are always out of service, drive through hasn’t been open in YEARS and I’m not sure if they even have “tellers” working anymore. The AAA worker is there and friendly (nutmeg should take notes) Would switch banks in a heartbeat but they make it difficult to withdraw money, can only imagine how hard it would be to close out accounts."
