"This is my 3rd loan with NWHCU and can't say enough great things about them. This time loan was for a car purchase. Completed loan application online on Sun morning, by Monday morning, was approved with a fantastic interest rate. Check in hand to pick up the new car by Monday afternoon. Mike Z was great to work with !"
"Today is December 14th 2022,for 2 days now I haven't been able to contact the credit union via email or phone (just getting a busy signal).....the only way to contact them is by car in which I live about a half hour away and I need to handle my money to get my car out of the shop.......this is very unprofessional on this institutional part. They're basically holding people's money hostage......I wouldn't recommend this place because they should have something in order for people to contact them under these kind of conditions"
"This credit union is absolutely ridiculous! 3 times an acct was locked for no reason. The individual is handicapped, it is very difficult for him to get out and we had to go inside for no good reason. They had zero explanation for why it was locked. Then they come up with this reason. It was locked because he made a purchase from Great Britain. Really a purchase from Great Britain locked his acct! How can a purchase lock his debit acct! Previously it was locked 2 other times. They never have an explanation, never I am sorry, never it was our fault just rude ! Completely not owning up to anything. The people that work there dress like hey I am hanging out at home. It is by far the worse financial establishment I have ever been to. My accts are not there and not a dime of mine will ever be there. After the 1st of the year my cousin is changing his banking establishments. This place is awful looking, rude tellers and the President was of zero help. Anyone looking for a bank there are so many others do not put your money into this bank. Again the person has MS, he has trouble walking and Friday he called to check his acct and was told he was good to go out to dinner and shopping. Oh ok I take his card go into a store it was declined 4 times. It is embarrassing, no I am sorry , we know how you feel. Treated us like no big deal! Again DO NOT go here!"
"If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am not a customer here but I sure as hell will never be a customer after my experience here. My mother has been a long time customer and I have been in the bank numerous times to make deposits for her or to cash checks from my own clients. It never fails every single time I go in, the tellers have the absolute worst attitude in the world. They have to be some of the rudest people I’ve met in the customer service industry. Not only does one bank teller give you the dirty eye ball as you wait in line (which it ALWAYS takes forever) but no one says hello, please or thank you or have a nice day. I dread walking in there just because of how unfriendly and rude your staff is."
"Do not show up at 5:00 and 1 second and expect service. The door will be locked, and they will look at you through the glass like you're the biggest moron that's ever walked the planet. Meanwhile, they're packing their things and getting ready to walk out the door so that they can get home by 5:10. God forbid they get home at 5:11. My other account is at TD Bank (one of the "big banks"). You can walk into TD at 6:03 and not only will the door still be unlocked, but they will greet you with the same smile with which they greet customers at 2:30. I try not to test it often. I had moved some of my money from the "big bank" to the local community credit union a few years back as part of the "Bank Transfer Day" movement. The underlying narrative was that the "big banks" don't care about you and that the local community credit unions will provide superior customer service. Well, Northwest Hills Credit Union has consistently disproved that notion. I think I will transfer the rest back to the "big bank". And, frankly, I don't think Northwest Hills will care one bit."
