"Read a lot of rough reviews but the process worked fine for me. I had to upload numerous documents and explanations of things but I was quick to respond. Took about 2.5 weeks for the entire process. Thanks Laurie and Stephanie for the help! Product was a home equity loan."
"Mistakes from the start. I live in one house and am trying to do a HELOC on another and they kept on putting my primary address as the house i want the HELOC on. This happened 3 times! Mistakes all over the initial application and my rep blamed this on "computer glitches" I would not recommend anyone to work with this company. I had to beg and plead for more than a phone number and email from my rep! Who doesn't send contact info on the first interaction. Sorry EQ"
"We were informed that despite all the information we had provided multiple times that we were not approved. Dragged on for several months. Despite reems of information they were unable to open the zip files they had requested we send them. In addition Elias referred to my husband as "Clarence". Not even close. He referred to Amex numbers that were not our numbers. Clarence's maybe? When we questioned it we were told there are other numbers that they use. What if not the card numbers? In addition,Elias sent an email to our homeowners Insurance trying to put a lien on a second property we have. Thank God I caught it. He then sent an email to them saying to ignore his request. So many missteps that we lost confidence in this company's ability to process our case. Our experience was NOT POSITIVE. Go to your bank or credit union before going here. They seemed to not know what the other person was doing. Brandon was sent information Elias was sent same information. Was actually a blessing in disguise that we were not approved. We also know that they undervalued our property. They would have not helped our situation as they led us to believe when we first spoke with them. Worst experience ever!"
"Absolute worst experience. I started this process with Brian Stanton who seemed great but it quickly went down hill and now 3 months later it was all a complete waste of time. I told him day one that I had my own attorney yet it took forever for me to get the attorney form from him. By the time we engaged my attorney My attorney's office told me the SpringEQ rep's don't know basic loan terminology, were asking for things not normally requested and had very poor communication. This process was such a mess & such a waste of time... so unorganized. One point I had a closing date and then within 2 weeks he comes back saying we were not closing we were cancelling the closing and needed to go through another credit check and full home appraisal... for what! I did everything Brian asked yet in the end he completely wasted my time. He promised a 20day close and 3 months later is now asking for a full home appraisal and provided advice that hurt my credit score. I'm done. Save your time and energy and find another company!! The recent reviews are the accurate reviews."
"The reps were great, at first, gave them every bit of documentation they asked for, sometimes twice, told me everything was good to go, then all of sudden, a mistake made by the underwriter, so no go, until it was fixed, then I get a call telling me there is nothing they can do, as another mistake was found by underwriting. These people I believe are scamming people and after reading the other reviews, it appears this happens all the time. I will never recommend them to a single person"
