"There is no way to declare food allergies on their online screen. Also this basket (see picture) was supposedly three orders of edamame worth $15. I asked if my other two orders were coming and they said yes. Then when I came back for the other two orders they said this was it. The same size basket was used for a single order of French fries so I’m confused and disappointed. The service is always disappointing here on the other visits I have had. Tables were not wiped and there was someone’s glass of water left at the table even though there was no one else in the restaurant."
"Really big space and it's very well kept. Great menu with lots of options. The ramen is pretty good. It's not like most traditional ramen spots I have been to, has a less robust taste. With few options for ramen in the area I am into it though. Appetizers and tea were also very good. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the mood for ramen."
"I’ve been to many of The Whale Tea locations in CT, but visiting this one was exciting because it’s the first location to have food! As always, the teas were excellent, though I didn’t realize I had to specify that I wanted boba in a few of them as the only one that came with them was the brown sugar milk tea. In terms of the food, everything was great! Really good soup dumplings, and we had no complaints about the ramen. We thought the broths were tasty and there were plenty of noodles. The popcorn chicken was a bit dry but still okay. I would come back when I’m craving ramen and boba at the same time! This location is really nice and clean, and the girls behind the counter were friendly."
"My brother and I went here and we got drinks first, and he immediately said “they do it RIGHT, here.” — I ordered a Matcha Fresh Milk Tea and he was definitely right, the tapioca pearls were silky smooth. My mom didn’t like her drink (she tried a new flavor) but even she said the pearls were delicious. We got the spicy ramen and the pork miso ramen and they were super savory with plenty of toppings !! I thought the pork was a bit overdone but the flavor was really delicious so I don’t mind that much. Also they give you a lot of soup and noodles so my brother and I (who are big eaters) were full by the end :) As far as service goes it was really quick! Took less than half an hour for everything and we came in right as they opened (got 2 soups and 3 drinks). Excellent energy and atmosphere, super quiet too. 10/10 would definitely come back :))"
"Whoa! So spacious, and so clean! Really loved the energy when I walked in and I'm not exaggerating, lol. They had wipes to clean your table, and I even wiped my chair! Loved that! Anywho, back to the review! I came in for Boba but decided to grab a bite as well. I ordered their popcorn chicken because I wasn't sure I would like the Ramen. Maybe I'll try next time. So you have the option to order through the kiosk or the counter. I chose the counter and the young lady was very sweet. I am not a Boba fan but I really wanted to give it another try. It was yummy. I think I made a rookie mistake of not shaking it before I busted it open with the straw. Pun intended, I got a mouth full of warm balls! So wasn't expecting that and almost spit them out lol! The taste was pleasant and they were they softest Boba balls I've ever had. I literally almost gobbled them all(regretted it later, stuck with me lol). The chicken was served in a beautiful basket. I was so excited but then got concerned about how they cleaned them as you food touching the basket could be exposed to the germs of everyone that had the basket prior. Maybe they should use taller paper to prevent that. Anyways the chicken was very unique, not like traditional popcorn chicken. The batter was similar to garlic and parmesan cheese without the cheese flavor. I know it makes no sense but that's the best I've got lol. I enjoyed it. I wish it was less salt and maybe served with a sweet sauce. I definitely recommend and will try again but not get Boba. My GI issues were not happy with me after I finished my tea!"
