"I've been going to this P.O at least two times a week. For years. Not only are many of these reviews inaccurate, they're incredibly mean. I always found the people that work there really pleasant and efficient-even when the line is out the door. Having been a fly on the wall listening to a number of really irritating customers, you might want to ask yourself what kind of customer service YOU would provide should you be in their shoes. You want great service? Be nice."

"I find some of the staff at this USPS location extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, petty & rude. Every single time I go to this location, the women are unfriendly, curt, strident, petty and intentionally unhelpful. They do nothing to help customers. They deliver the minimal service possible. They are never pleasant unless it’s someone they personally know. It’s completely inappropriate & unacceptable to be so biased, small minded, rude, & unprofessional towards customers. Go to Old Saybrook & see Clint & his colleagues. They are fantastic! Clint is one of the most gracious, kind, helpful & personable postal employee I’ve met!"

"Hello, I felt like the staff did not want to help me. "Nothing we can do" and "Not our fault" and "I don't know" seemed to be their favorite phrases. They lacked empathy. A mistake on the postal service's end caused me to have to drive an extra hour today, and they did not care to apologize. When I asked if anything could be done in the future to prevent the same issue, "NO" was the answer. They seemed to not care about doing a good job or improving their practices. I probably would not have bothered writing this, but at least they could have apologized for the inconvenience and mistake. We all make mistakes. Except the post office, apparently. It felt like the did not want to give good customer service. The postal service is a necessary and important part of our country, especially in rural areas like Lyme. I hope that this feedback can lead to improvement of our local office. I appreciate the work of those at the post office, and for a time, I did have an EXCELLENT postal carrier that worked out of this office."
