"The food is always good and I do love coming here. The matzoball soup is one of my favorites. They also have a great wrap it’s like eating Thanksgiving dinner all wrapped up. The knishes are great and just don’t feel as heavy as you expect it to be. My one con was the phone interaction I had. Called in the beginning of the week said I needed something for a party for that weekend, they said I didn’t need to order ahead of time and I can just come in and it would be ready. I asked one more time I didn’t need to make they were cooked or Whatever. They confirmed nope come in and order. I had to drive about 20 miles out of the way to get to the store. I got there to order and they told me they were frozen is that ok? I obviously didn’t buy the frozen product. Your best bet is to just pre order everything or eat in store."
"Ordered take for Chanukah. The food was dry. Pastrami was shredded pieces. Matzo balls was fair at best. Not a happy camper"
"Pastrami was the only reason they even received 2 stars. Potato pancake was luke warm and definitely not made fresh. But the service was HORRIBLE. It was more than 45 min prior to closing and a female server (not our server) walks over to our table without a word, reached over us while we were mid bite and takes the pepper off the table. 5 min later she returned and takes the salt and mumbles I’ll be right back but never reappears. Understandable that she was refilling them but refill the ones from empty tables and wait until we are done with our meal. Empty drinks sat empty with no offer of refill either. Lastly, we were initially ignored at the register and then finally acknowledged by the woman who took our check. I inserted my card, the receipt printed and rather than giving both copies, she only handed my the customer copy, asked how much tip I wanted to leave as if I couldn’t fill it out and do the math and sign for myself. Will not return"
"Iconic. Can’t go wrong with their salami and eggs or the brisket sandwich"
"Much closer and more convenient location for me then lido beach. There pastrami is a little leaner but OK. If I'm going to indulge in this meal I want it as juicy as possible. That includes some fat."
