"Our family has been coming to Village Pediatrics for 2 years. Unfortunately we will have to take our services elsewhere. The doctors are good but the unprofessionalism of the staff I can not say the same. The office manager Shaniqua needs to work on her professionalism and communication when talking to clients. We arrived 2 minutes late and we understand that we would not be able to be seen because of our lateness but the office manager Shaniqua came off very aggressive. When I mentioned her aggressiveness she began to walk away while she was still talking to me ( she spoke to me with her back turned). She has a very nasty attitude that does not need to be in a professional setting especially dealing with patients/clients."
"I would not recommend bringing your child here. The front desk staff is rude, I hung up in tears after trying to make an appointment for my sick son and after speaking with Shaniqua. I will find a new pediatrician."
"LOVE Love love Dr Mcgowan. My children has been with her since babies, and they will stay with this firm until 21 years old. The doctor and staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I will always refer friends and family here."
"Yesterday was not a positive experience. We arrived 10 min early and were seen 1 hour & 10 min later than scheduled appointment time. We could hear the social conversation of the staff behind the closed exam room door. We opened the door after being left alone for a long time , wondering had we been forgotten.Made a trip to bathroom to kill Some time while waiting. The Doctor very nice, she said that she would order a prescription. 2 hours later in the pharmacy- no prescription- the office staff when called for help multiple times was rude, We were told the pharmacist would have to call the the pediatrician to get the prescription He did! They were rude to Brian from CVS - white plains road wonderful- keeping him on hold long time then saying they would call back in a minute. Now an hour +15 min later Im standing again in front of the pharmacist &-no call. I had gone to pharmacy 3 times- expecting the prescription to be ready, after being told it will be there in few min. it had still as of 5:15 pm when the office was now closed had not been called in. The secretary had said the computer had been down all day nothing she could do.We were told no one else could call the prescription in No one else would know what the doctor was ordering or know the child’s weight - (neither would that doctor because the child had not been weighed when she was in there. )I asked were all the prescriptions that were needed by sick kids seen in their office unable to be ordered ? I did say that this was not fair to a sick child. I said that is not good medical care. She said I was harassing her & she did not have to speak to me. I did suggest that her office should have referred us to a Mediquick if they knew that they were not going to be able to order needed prescriptions. I could still go to a Mediquick if I wanted. I did tell her that I hoped for her that if she needed help with a sick kid that she had someone as helpful towards her as what she was being to us which was not at all. She continued to interrupt/over speak/and address me in a derogatory manner . 6 pm from an 11:30 am appointment to have the prescription ordered by a nice after hours doctor who had not even seen the toddler. Who knows was the original doctor even given the message that she had been called 4 times from parent and once from pharmacy? If the computers were down there HAS to be another way for a prescription to be sent. We would just have to continue to wait (who knows good long). In retrospect when I left I was told no copay there was some Kind of overpayment from past insurance , which does not make sense because “computers were down” . All day. The office-spotless- the 4 lollipops nice. I recommended them to a friends new baby and now I am glad they went elsewhere. I’d be embarrassed if they had had a bad experience with my recommendation. December was our first disturbing prescription issue & sadly After yesterday,I think it’s time to look elsewhere. The doctors-good but unfortunately not supported by equally as good staff."
"We absolutely love Dr McGowan and this doctor’s office. The staff at the reception is friendly and accommodating. The nurses work to take care of you quickly and are extremely helpful in getting you set up with all the necessary paperwork needed for school and daycare. Dr McGowan is super nice, knowledgeable and patient. We get all out questions answered and I know my kids (8 y/o boy and 2 y/o girl) are always in great hands! Highly recommend this practice to everyone."
