"Scheduled a pickup the day before for a 4:15 AM pickup i Setauket to catch a 6 AM flight at Islip. I got a text confirmation after a while, and then the driver - Charles Weiss - called me that afternoon at 4 PM to tell me he was on his way. I told him he was 12 hours early and verfied with him that he would come back at the correct time. You can guess what didn't happen. I texted him at 4 AM to check whether he was on the way - no response. I called his cell at 4:10 - straight to voicemail. I called the dispatcher who took a couple of minutes to wake up and answer the phone. She couldn't contact the driver either, and after a few minutes of trying she said she could have another driver get me in 30 minutes. No thanks - too late I missed my flight. Thanks "Eco Taxi". I guess they are "Eco" because they don't drive or burn any fuel?? ----------- Follow-up 5 weeks later: After my initial review detailing my experience being hung out to dry, the owner replied that he would be contacting me. Well, the owner's promise meant as much as their promise to provide taxi services: nothing. I'm still waiting to be contacted."

Immediately after I booked with them over the phone I got a text message confirmation about who my driver will be and what kind of car I'm getting. Our driver Jeffrey indeed took care of us. He arrived on time in a very nice car. He helped my mom and me with our bags and was a real gentleman. The conversation on the way to the airport was smooth and easy. The car came with all kinds of entertainment and free snacks and drinks. It felt as if the car was specially washed and prepared for us before the pick up. If you are looking for an inexpensive solution this is it. For the service and quality it far outweighs everyone else I have used in the area."
