"They say they're 24/7. They're not. I've called multiple times for friends and only get an answering machine saying to leave a message. The area needs a taxi service because we're not a city with uber available anytime after 6pm usually. Maybe if they updated their info to be correct another entrepreneur would fill the need for this service in the northeast CT area."
"I guess they answer calls when they want. Says 24 hours but totally not. Also is this a two person taxi company? No one is ever available. Tried multiple times to get a ride and the woman who answered the phone ALWAYS says I don't have any driver's available. I suggest that you guys get a few more people to do rides not a lot of uber or Lyft drivers out this way."
"Never available. They aren't 24/7 Lyft was 57$ they wanted to charge me 100$ and because I was in dire need of a ride I agreed. But ride never showed or even picked up the phone when I tried to call and tell them that I finally got a lyft instead."
"If you schedule a ride they're late or don't arrive. If you leave a message they don't show and then say they never got the message. What kind of business survives doing this to people? I'm starting to suspect the few 5 star ratings are either local customers, maybe that's who they cater more towards, or they are bogus reviews Either way I have had maybe 2 out of 10 taxis actually show up. So if you enjoy watching your blood pressure spike, go for it. I'm all set."
"I was not even a passenger for this company but was driving near one of their taxis. Their driver took a left turn in front of our car, without even looking and we came within inches of hitting them, had to slam on our brakes to the point where even our ABS Locked up, make sure the child in our car was okay as well as myself since I am pregnant. I contacted the company with the car number of the driver who cut us off to report the incident since I feel as though a company should be aware that their drivers are driving unsafely. The person who answered the phone (who I later found out upon visiting the company to speak to a manager it WAS a manager who answered the phone in fact the owner) told me they would speak to the driver. No apologies, no questions about what occurred, nothing. My husband at this point was furious at the lack of caring coming from my phone call and took the phone to explain that "we will talk to them" was not sufficient in a situation like this. The man on the phone got short which made my husband even more furious, and he unfortunately swore at the man on the phone who responded with "I'm at the Putnam post office if you'd like to meet me face to face" which is beyond unprofessional in my opinion...then he terminated the call. I did call back to apologize for the way my husband swore (even if the man on the phone was egging it on and acting JUST as badly) and asked for all their info (license numbers, names ect) and he refused to give it to me and then HUNG UP ON ME. We did drive down to the company as well and the manager/owner still made no effort to apologize until I pointed out how unprofessional it is to tell someone that "accidents happen and people die every day. Nothing I can do." And act as though safety isn't a concern. They are rude and clearly not concerned with safety of their passengers, other drivers or the way they come across to people. After we left that meeting we continued about our errands for the day and the owner, driving the taxi van ended up behind us...and ran a red light. So to top it off he clearly didn't care about following the rules of the road himself even after that conversation....I wouldn't recommend risking your safety by driving with them...or even driving NEAR them."
