"This is the second time we've been in this hospital's ED and it's the same situation. They leave you to die waiting. I was told to come here to have my daughter seen and then no one comes. My 9 y/o daughter is laying in a bed in a hallway. We arrived at 7:45pm and now it's 9:30pm. When i asked if my daughter can have something to eat they said she can't until someone sees her. And the woman at the computer tells us they don't know when they're coming. They don't care about anything. It's like this is their culture. Terrible place this is here. No one cares. The staff needs to be here so might as well keep everyone here too. It's irritating to hear the staff talk about food when ppl are not allowed to eat. Yes I know, someone will see this review and reach out to ask what happened or say something like they care but they don't. If the administration cared they would have come down to witness this sh-- show. I'm so angry right now."
"I did not go to the emergency room. My experience with the intake personnel and the nurses pre and post op for my son were all satisfactory. No one gave an attitude no, no one seemed to hate their job. The nurses were all super friendly to my boy and he had no worries. Dr. MERER is a godsend. He’s kind. He’s patient. His empathetic. My boy was in great hands. His after care nurse Denise was so sweet and extremely attentive. The 2.8 seems unjust but I realize a lot of it is from the emergency room visits. Even at intake my boy was treated with care. He brought his favorite stuffy with him and asked if he could have a hospital band too and the guy was so kind to entertain it and gave the stuffy a wristband too. He was so happy. The entrance is very welcoming with all of the decor and the fish tank. You wouldn’t think you’re at a hospital. My boy wanted to hang out with the fishes after his surgery. It think it’s a great addition to the hospital with all the children there."
"Really was a terrible experience. 3 hours wait to be seen then 3 hours after that to be discharged. We waited 2 hours for medication with a 102.5 fever and only got it because my husband went up to the desk and complained. I wouldn't recommend this hospital for an emergency not based on our experience. Did I mention the huge water bug that was crawling around the ER waiting room. The ghetto unprofessional security guard was the icing on the dysfunctional cake. Go elsewhere!"
"My son was here for a surgery and was extremely nervous. All the nurses and doctors that came in to see him were very supportive and did their best to make this scary experience as pleasant as possible. The nurses came in and spoke with him and was able to start a connection. His nerves finally calmed down . They stayed on top of pain management and made sure he was always comfortable. After surgery they decided to admit him and he was transferred to the children’s department where he was treated great by all the nurses there as well. I have no complaints ."
