"Worst. Kid needs to see ent doctor and they say 3 months wait. It is ridiculous considering all the money paid to Yale health insurance. Very disappointing. If you go with other clinic that have specialist, Yale insurance does not cover you a penny. What a joke."
"Haven’t even gotten to bring my child here yet and I am leaving 1 star. Was promised a call back in December to schedule an appointment for my daughter to have completed by January 21. She had to be on a months worth of antibiotics. Never got a call. I call them in January and they just scheduled an appointment that we couldn’t make. I immediately schedule an appointment after having to find coverage for my own patients. We get pushed back over a month. 1 business day prior to her appointment they leave me a voicemail saying the appointment was made “in error.” As someone who works in healthcare, the scheduling department is terrible. They don’t confirm appointments and cancel last minute. Save yourself the trouble and frustration."
"The worst experience!! They make an appointment then change it without confirming with you! Apparently that’s normal and ok!? I showed up for my appointment time as a new patient with my preemie baby after a 40 minute drive. After checking in the front hospital I make my way to the desk and they tell me his apt was 45 mins earlier! I tell them I made it for 1130 and no one told me it changed, and since he didn’t have an online account set up I never got any phone calls or notices that they moved my apt up 45 minutes. They refuse to take me and send me home, telling me to call bc they can’t make another appointment. I was upset but polite. I called had them set me up for his account online so I could verify apts. fast forward a month later I get a automated call saying to be at my apt again the time is different. I call upset to see why they keep changing the time. now days before I have to change my work schedule and get there 45 mins earlier. They state they can’t contact the front desk and don’t know why it was changed. To talk to them when I get there. So I show up at my new apt time and ask. They basically say they don’t know why it was changed but too bad and that it’s ok to just change times bc they attempted to contact me. However bc I have a generic voicemail they didn’t leave a message and when I called back no one had any idea why they called. So here I am at the new early time and I proceed to wait for an hour in the waiting room bc they are very busy. After making changes to get out of work early I wouldn’t have had to! Since I didn’t get seen till after my original appointment ….finally see the dr for 2 mins who instead of looking at the chart they order tests they’ve already done and tell me they will follow up with me. They leave the room never come back so I have no clue if that’s it. So I head out to the front desk and say I think I need to check out. Ask if they will be setting up the apt. They say I have to go across to a different desk to do that. I go to the desk and they say I can’t do the appointment there I have to call. Such horrible communication and a bunch of staff who sit around and are incapable of doing anything! I will say everyone was mostly professional and nice. But this is not ok I hoped to get better care and organization from Yale. Healthcare is awful today!"
"We arrived at 430 as the radiology department was closing. We are not from the area, about 2 hrs away. The radiologist Christy I believe was walking out the door when she overheard us talking with the receptionist. My daughter needed her entire body X rayed and she decided to stay past her shift to get it done. I can't thank her enough!"
"Don't waste your time here. After several appointments, they never completed a report evaluating my child's feeding or speech. We spent an hour in the car for each 30 minute appointment and they never even addressed his speech as promised. I had to request no students due to my son's shyness (which was added to my son's chart) yet multiple times had to ask for a student to leave. We were told we would have a specific therapist yet they changed our provider. The final straw was when they came out for our appointment 5 minutes before it was supposed to end and I had already gone to the desk to tell them we had to leave because my toddler was getting restless after waiting 45 minutes. We've sought care elsewhere. Now I find out they've been hounding the pediatrician to see why we haven't been going, even though I made clear that we wouldn't be returning and they've made zero effort to contact us directly. All this place cares about is case studies and insurance money. 8 even contacted Yale patient relations and received a dismissive and condescending letter in return. We've been pulling our son from all Yale providers and have been much happier at other places that actually care about children."
