"Firstly, I almost NEVER do something like this, but the insufficient care provided by these doctors should be addressed publicly. I went to this practice for a few years, all was great when I didn’t have major complications and was just attending for routine care. However, this practice was not able to identify a simple Nabothian cyst formed on my cervix. They deemed it to be a “fluid filled sac of unknown etiology”. Also was having slight discomfort, which they also were not able to identify a reason for. The only treatment option offered to me was coming back in 2-3 weeks to examine it once more and observe any changes. However, since BOTH doctors that examined the imaging could not even tell me how serious this complication could be, or if I needed immediate care, this treatment option didn’t seem fair nor safe to me. I rightfully got angry and eventually walked out, and found another practice the next day who was MORE than willing to diagnose my issue within days of my request for an appointment. When I attended this other practice, within the first 30 seconds of the ultrasound, the ultrasound technician was able to identify this finding as a simple nabothian cyst, which is a cervical cyst. Keep in mind, when one of the doctors from Sound came into the room to speak to me regarding their findings, he informed me he didn’t know what this “sac” was, but did know what it WASNT. One of the things that he listed that it could NOT BE was a cervical cyst. As if this isn’t bad enough….. the discomfort I was experiencing was simply from friction burns, which was found by performing a pelvic exam with a speculum during my follow up session that was NOT done on the day of my visit at Sound. Thank god the cyst has not grown much in size since my appointment here. Finally, for a treatment plan, the alternative practice insisted I get radiology imaging done asap to ensure there is nothing serious that the ultrasound could not catch. This is only due to the fact that this type of cyst doesn’t normally grow so large, and doesn’t usually cause symptoms, so there is room for concern. However, when the doctor at Sound finally offered this option to me after probably 30 minutes of argument, he told me I would be “wasting my money”. Making sure my body is safe and healthy is not wasting money. This was overall a very concerning and eye opening experience, to be very cautious who you trust with caring for your medical needs. Do better, and maybe educate your staff slightly more in depth on nabothian cysts and cervical complications."
