Reviews of DOCS Urgent Care & Primary Care - West Haven
"First off, this place is going downhill. They called me two weeks ago claiming I had an infection and that i needed to join a telehealth call. I get in the call and the nurse is confused telling me I shouldn’t have been called because I don’t have anything nor are they supposed to release information as a receptionist. They never have a service provider so close down! I called Danbury because they placed me there for my visit and they don’t answer the phone. They call you back saying “how can I help you” lol. Today, been here for over two hours. Got here 10:40 and I’m leaving at 1:07 with no service. This is For a yeast infection that I know I have. All that is needed is a sample a test and a prescription. They took a urine sample and had me in a room for that long.people have things to do . They told me to sit tight and closed the door. An hour later I have to get up and tell them going to grab my charger in my vehicle. ONLY THEN did they tell me that they are still looking for a service provider. Why couldn’t I have been told that a whole HOUR before. I just left at that point because this is ridiculous. They were not kind nor welcoming and all their receptionists are like that. They have a quite simple job compared to others but still interact in the nastiest and unprofessional way that I’ve ever seen. I would’ve just scheduled with my doctor. The rooms are horribly filthy and do not get cleaned clearly. There were pap sticks on the floor from previous patients and overflowing trash. They are dirty! They aren’t busy but all they doing is sitting around contemplating what they will eat for lunch…instead of cleaning the areas of the clinic. It looks run down and old. I’m sure all locations are like this because they are not cohesive. Now I have to figure out how to treat my condition alone. Such a sad representation of health care. You can tell they aren’t trained."
"I arrived at the Urgent Care at 8:40 am. The nurse at the front desk mumbled something which I assumed was “be with you shortly”. I Waited a few minutes before she addressed me. I told her my issue and she said I would not see a doctor it would be a tele health call on a tablet. I agreed. Things went smoothly until I got to the exam room where I was falling asleep and realized it was 40 minutes later. I went to the front and asked how much longer. I waited an hour before seeing the doctor for less than a 3 minute’s visit on the tablet"
"The absolute WORST urgent care experience of my life. My child has strep and we waited well over TWO HOURS without even seeing a physician. Staff doesn’t offer water, comfort in any form, NO hospitality. My child sat in the room and cried and they completely ignored us. We’re still here 2 hours and 15 minutes later. No antibiotics. No doctor. I’m actually disgusted with this establishment and the people who work here."
"The absolute worst. Atrocious wait times and the front desk just ignores you when you walk in. Sometimes there are no doctors at all. And no, I don't want to do a "telehealth" call. I want my issue examined in person. I've had a couple good experiences here but they are few and far between. Most of the doctors here are discompassionate, don't smile, and act like they don't want to be bothered. They don't seem to believe me when I tell them I'm in pain. If you want to be treated like you're a moron and laughed out the door, this is the place for you. Never again. To the owner's response: No thank you. Kick rocks."
"When I first walked in the receptionists were beyond and rude and if I had a simple question they would act like it was the biggest inconvenience for them. I did get in rather quickly to an exam room, but I then sat in that exam room for 40 minutes waiting for the doctor to see me for a whole 5 minutes. When the doctor was there they did absolutely no tests/exercises to see if there was a serious tear in my injury and all I got told was to get a walking boot/crutches on my own. When I asked where to get them I was never given an answer and was given an x-ray order. When I left I was not given any discharge information except for the x-ray order. I stopped at the receptionist to make sure I did not owe anything and was once again treated like an inconvenience. Anyway I went and got the x-ray done, and was told it should take a couple hours for the results and that DOCS would call me with the results. So I call after a couple hours to ask for the results and I was told I would not get them til Monday. At this point I went to a different walk in where I got a boot and x-ray results back in half of the time. Overall was a waste of time going here and I would not recommend this place to anyone else."
