"Drove all the way up from NYC for a VA appt. She cancelled last minute , said she has an emergency . After reading these reviews , seems she says that a lot ! Also a felon ( google name , has federal indictment )"
"We drove 95 miles on Nov 1st and Dr. Shahab had called in sick the day of my appointment !!! Thanks so much to her staff, who CALLED THE WRONG PERSON to tell them that the Dr. wasnt going to be in. Do a Google search on this Dr. and you will find that they were ordered to pay over $800,000 for fraudulent claims they made!!! Stay away from this provider! They also told the VA that I was a "No Show"."
"I had an appointment this morning for 7am setup by QTC/VA and was texted on my way there at 636am from the Drs office, saying my appointment was canceled due to an "emergency" . I was already 1/2 way there. Not impressed by their unprofessional lack of consideration. ***UPDATE***not only did they cancel my appointment 20 min before, BUT they told the VA I was a No Show. Blocking me from rescheduling anywhere else, on appeal and I do have the text message still."
"I had a lot of positive things to say about Dr Shahab up until my last year with her. I went there for help with a mood disorder and the meds she gave me helped but stopped working. I kept telling her about this and I always felt rushed as all she would do is up the dosage. I always got a ton of calls about my appointments being canceled always because she was "sick." and once I didn't see her for about two months because she had the flu than a family emergency. So I called to cancel twice and she dropped me from her practice. I only found this out when I called to get my meds refilled and the office told me this. They refused to give me any more medication refills to last me till I found another doctor. So that means withdrawals off of SSRI. I would not recommend anyone going there. I know they treat people there as well with addictions so I can't speak on how she is with that side of things. I feel like she just kept me on those anti depression and anxiety meds and kept upping the dosage to rush things along. She is nice in a fake obvious way. Also as much as she rushes the appointments along you are sitting in the waiting room way past your time you are actually scheduled there for."
"Erum Shahab paid a settlement to the federal government for fraudulent billing practices, that was amoung some of the highest settlements ever paid, around $800,000. Her CT medical license is still active and valid but again only after a large settlement was paid; around $60,000. This not her first time with sanctions on her medical license. She is dishonest and doesn't follow commonly accepted practices. Don't go here if your interested in bettering yourself. Remember, she is robbing ever taxpayer when she abuses Medicare/Medicaid billing and is part of the reason why healthcare is so expensive in the US."
