Reviews of New Britain OB/GYN
"Dr.Acocella is the best doctor I ever seen, she really takes her time, her medical assistant is very friendly and helpful as well. Over all the best place I’ve been."
"Highly recommend, Dr.Acocella is amazing, she takes the time to listen to you, even if she is running a few minutes behind they inform you and it’s worth it because she truly listens to your concerns and does everything she can for you. All staff is respectful and nice, her medical assistant Sam is beyond friendly and nice. Over all best obgyn place I have been too. Love them!"
"I give it a 3 star but for Dr. kibler. She is such a sweet respectful person. I’m pregnant with my fourth child and I’m dreading coming here again. I hate the wait. I’m not sure the reason for appointments if they don’t even see you at the time they made the appointment. So I’m on goggle searching for a new OBGYN. And this one came up and I had to leave a review because I hope they take the seriousness on their office issue. I have kids and I’m pretty good with waiting but they take it to a whole other level. I love you Kibler but I am switching to another OBGYN."
"My mother had been going here even before I was born, and I turn 30 this year. Dr. Lillo even delivered me. Dr. Lillo was my OB from my teenagehood until his retirement. However, this place has gone down extremely in quality. For years, I have had issues with reception being judgemental, apathetic, even rude. But now they've crossed a line. My mother is a cancer survivor and is going through a cancer scare after being in remission for almost a decade. Kristin gave her an attitude, told her that the office calling and cancelling on my mother 20 minutes before her appointment isn't her problem, and Cassandra laughed in my mother's face after she expressed she is a paying customer and should be treated as such. Very unprofessional. Update: Dr. Acocella is single-handedly saving this business. She respected my mother's complaints and concerns and validated her, and spoke to the office manager personally and told her to give my mother a call with her complaints about scheduling and rude staff. If it wasn't for her, we would've went elsewhere."
"Dr Kirsten Kibler is an incredible physician. I’ve been seeing her since she started practicing in ct right off of her fellowship. It’s been about 15 years now. She has delivered my children and been there for me through multiple major health crisis… the actual office staff and the way this practice is run has only gotten worse than miserable. As wonderful as dr. Kibler is, the office staff needs to be called out. The schedulers and people who answer the phones have ZERO regard for the sensitivity of many of the issues that an obgyn group deals with. They will look you square in the eye and tell you that they don’t care about your situation. And the schedule is what the schedule is. Gone are the days of actual care. At this point, this practice is doing the bare minimum and as long as you’re not dead- they consider it a job well done. It was a nightmare to schedule my annual appointment. There was no availability in a year because the doctor was already booked up. They were going to try to force me to push my care out to 14 months instead of 12 and their reason was “well everyone loves dr.kibler.” That’s unacceptable. After pushing and advocating for myself, magically the scheduler had a date and a time perfect for what I was looking for. It’s only mid April and the soonest available appointment for next year was in may or June (2024). I had to beg them and advocate for myself just to secure a time that was available anyway. It shouldn’t be this hard. The most unpleasant part about a trip to the gyno should be the stirrups and the clamp… not the receptionists and all of the other people along the way. If I didn’t have the confidence to advocate for myself- I’d be forced to neglect my proper care. That’s completely unacceptable and unethical. The whole point of this review is to point out that the doctors in this practice are wonderful. They’re so wonderful that EVERYONE wants to see them. Unfortunately in a setting like this, the wonderful people aren’t the ones setting the tone for your overall experience. All newcomers deserve fair warning, and all long-timers deserve validation. It’s not just you. I know it’s not just me. It’s the state of our healthcare system. Gatekeepers are a real thing. If you’re going to come to this practice- you need to be willing to advocate for yourself. If you like quick contact with an office or reasonable response times when you’re pregnant or in an emergency- this is NOT the office for you. I continue to recommend dr Kibler to any woman that asks me about a good obgyn… however, my recommendation comes with this warning label."
