Lesser said he'd refund the money because I moved to NC aprox. month after I paid him.... They said they mailed it to Jacksonville, FL by accident, & their accountant no longer work there so the check is lost in the mail for nearly 10 years... they didn't give a hoot about my situation. I was married to a drug addict who would steal from me so I decided to sign the check in front of Attorney Stanton H Lesser & gift it to him instead of risking the loss of having it stolen from me. :'( We slept in my vehicle nearly a week before a stranger allowed us to stay at her house on Handcock Ave. for another week. My vehicle broke down, $2,000.oo worth at Fireston Auto. Rescue Misson shelter wouldn't accept us because age cut-off is 9 years old, my son is 13. The first soup kitchen/Rescue Mission we went to would not allow us in because we didn't have socks on. We left NC with flip-flops & no socks :( ... I went to two churches up there, near where I lived 10 years ago, begged & cried my eyeballs out, they slammed door on me & my children without offering not even a bottle of water. Thank God we found Good Shepherd Christian Church Inc They made sure we had food & helped get us back home... They are now filling trailer with food, supplies, clothes, etc. & plan to come to Jacksonville, NC soon "
