About the Business
The Connection, located at 100 Roscommon Drive in Middletown, Connecticut, is a health institution dedicated to building safe, healthy, and caring communities. Their mission is to inspire people to reach their full potential as productive and valued citizens. The Connection offers nationally recognized child welfare programs to help families provide stable and loving homes for all children, even after difficult life challenges such as trauma, substance use, behavioral health struggles, or homelessness.
Young adults aged 18-24 who find themselves homeless or in unstable housing situations can access specialized care at The Connection. Their homeless young adult services focus on connecting individuals to community resources, developing independent living skills, and nurturing natural supports. The Connection also offers a continuum of adult services, including addiction services, behavioral healthcare, and community justice programs, all following person-centered and trauma-informed models of care.
As a housing-first provider, The Connection believes that having a safe home is crucial for successful recovery. They offer various housing assistance programs, including homeless outreach, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, and permanent supportive housing. Additionally, The Connection's Institute for Innovative Practice provides professional development and essential skills training to staff and emerging leaders, rooted in culturally competent, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed care.
Supporting The Connection financially helps provide quality care for those facing homelessness, mental health and substance use challenges, or reintegration into the community after incarceration. The institution values excellence in leadership, integrity, and transparency, with a focus on community collaboration. By participating in their special events or becoming a sponsor or partner, individuals can contribute to solving complex community problems and promoting healing, stability, and well-being for all.

Reviews
"They have great services for families. The supportive Housing for Families program has made a positive impact in Connecticut. They have assisted many families in obtaining and securing permanent Housing."
"Got to be the worst dui class. The guy Ryan Murphy is an absolute tool"
"These people had me put back in prison because I missed too many groups. Yeah I missed the groups while I battled pneumonia and was in and out of the hospital. When I came back after one month with ALL the paperwork from the hospital the two ladies running the group informed me that they had discharged me unsuccessful, essentially signing my violation. They knew what they were doing and the lack of caring still stuns me today. Now that all legal is behind me I'm very much considering a lawsuit."
"This place is the worst. the overall communication is so bad. calling the head-quarters location in Middletown just be prepared to get the run around. How is this company still in business?"
"Surely not what they used to be!!! Very unprofessional staff to say the least!!! Intake counselor does not return phone calls. Completely worthless!!!"
