"Great folx keeping Battiston's my go.to for all dry.cleaning and Andrew is wonderful for wash and fold!"
"I bring all my dress shirts there. Friendly staff and always a great job."
"I was a VERY Loyal customer to Battiston's for 20 years or more. When you sign up for coupons on their website, you get them emailed. I received several emails with "Dollar sale" Coupons; that entailed "for each 2 garments we clean at regular price; we will clean 2 more of the same value for $1.00 each. Today, I went to drop off 4 items (the coupons didn't say expired but rather expires at the end of the month..) the gentleman at the counter said "we cannot accept these anymore". I ended up not dropping my garments there, and going to another cleaners in a surrounding town. Had the answer been told to me "going forward we cannot accept these anymore" it would have been different. I even was a loyal customer during the height of the pandemic when everyone worked from home and didn't wear business attire, but I did. I regret to say they lost me as a loyal customer, and it's not the point of the cost, but rather how it was handled."
"Please, do not bring anything of value here. I brought my wedding dress here to be cleaned after seeing their website which advertises wedding gown cleaning and preservation by "fabric care specialists." What I experienced was the opposite - I dropped off my dress and I made sure to let them know I specifically wanted wedding gown cleaning. They asked if I wanted it boxed, I said no because I eloped and planned to wear it again for a celebration later on. I specified that I would need dry cleaning. This was on a Tuesday. They took the dress and said it would be ready of Friday. I wasn’t able to pick it up until Saturday, so it was sitting there for an extra day after it was done. When I got it home and took it out of the bag the dress was soaking wet. It should have never gotten wet at all, let alone been sitting in a bag wet for 24 hours. Then, I notice that the lace along the neckline was all falling apart, there were loose threads everywhere. The dress had metallic threads running through the skirt part and they were pulled and snagged all over the place. The inner lining was misshapen, when I tried it on the sleeves did not sit correctly anymore and the length of the dress had shrunk about 3 inches. They tagged the dress at the back at a very delicate part and the fabric pulled creating a huge bump. I was too upset to go back to Battiston’s, so my husband brought the dress back the next day, a Sunday. The employee who took and washed my dress was there and she admitted that she was supposed to get it “signed for” and forgot, that she was going to get in trouble. She argued with him that she would never tag it where it was tagged, despite the tag clearly being there. She told him to come back on Monday to speak with the manager. He went back on Monday, the manager (Jack) was incredibly rude and told him it was “not a wedding dress”, and then proceeded to pull on the loose threads at the neckline causing more damage — to the point where my both my husband and another employee who was working there yelled at him to stop making it worse. He said “who cares, it is already ruined” and admitted that the dress was put through a washing machine instead of being dry cleaned like I asked for. The manager also said it was my fault for choosing a “poorly made dress” (it wasn’t) and blamed it on the material. (Even though their website claims they are “fabric specialists”). He also said that if there is no care tag on something then they don’t know how to clean it and simply put it in a washing machine — I am not a professional, and I knew it should not be put in a washing machine, which is why I brought it there and asked for dry cleaning to begin with. They had my phone number on file and never called me to let me know that they didn’t know how to clean it or ask permission to wash it a different way than what I asked for. The manager said that he couldn't help us but he will have his sister call us on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday pass and I didn’t get a call, so I called on Thursday morning. I find out that the sister who was supposed to call is named Claudia and she does the accounting. When I spoke with Claudia, she was the first person to actually apologize for what happened. She said that she was never informed about the situation and that she needs to figure out what is going on but that she will call right back — and she actually did! She offered to send out a check for the full cost of the dress and cleaning the next day. More importantly she was very kind and understood how upsetting it is to have your wedding dress destroyed. She sent a check and a gift certificate (which I will not be using, but it was a nice gesture.) Despite Claudia’s kindness and help to make the situation right, I would much rather have my wedding dress back in its original, wearable condition. I will never return to Battison’s because of Jack’s disrespect for me, my husband, and my most valuable clothing item. It should not have taken us speaking with 4 people before someone actually apologized."
"Not the most modern, or clean looking, but it is the most affordable of the few places I have visited recently. Coin OP machines vs electronic cards. Start wash load before 6pm. $1.75 small washer, $3.50 Med, $5.25 for large washer. $0.25 for 7 min of dry time. $1.00 for box of detergent, I used 2 boxes of Tide for one wash. $1.00 for 2 Bounce dryer sheets. I split the load into 2 dryers (Medium load) spent $1.50 on 2 dryers, combined both into 1 for another $0.25 because a few items were slightly damp. $8.25 total for Medium load"
