StayWell Health Center, located at 30 Church Street in Naugatuck, Connecticut, is a comprehensive health care institution dedicated to providing high-quality medical, dental, and mental health services for individuals and families. Since 1972, StayWell has been serving more than 37 towns in the Greater Waterbury Area, making it easier for residents to access care closer to home.

At StayWell, we prioritize prevention and holistic care, offering a range of services including Adult Primary Care, Pediatrics, Dental, Adult Behavioral Health, Women’s Health (OB/GYN), Specialty Care, HIV Care & Infectious Diseases. We accept most commercial insurances, Medicaid, Medicare, and self-pay patients who may qualify for a sliding fee discount.

In addition to medical services, StayWell also provides community programs to support individuals in reaching their health care goals and promoting family growth and development. Our behavioral health care services address challenges such as anxiety, depression, and substance use, while our school-based health centers in Waterbury offer convenient access to care for students.

For individuals struggling with opioid addiction, StayWell offers treatment and support services. We also provide dental care for patients of all ages, comprehensive healthcare and advocacy for those living with HIV, and at-home HIV testing for residents in the Greater Waterbury Area.

As a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n), StayWell Health Center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service deemed status. We adhere to a nondiscrimination policy under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, ensuring equal access to care for all individuals.

"I never felt more neglected in my life. I won't mention names cause I don't know what is going on in the back. My councelor wanted to transfer me to another facility where they may be better suited to handle my situation. I was told I would be given 2 months worth of my anti-depressant while I make my transfer. After 1 month, I received no notice of my second month, I was denied when I requested the second month. I was out of my anti-depressant and still one week away from meeting my new APRN. I was feeling the withdrawal symptoms. Vertigo, brain zaps, fatigue. I tried calling this facility but their phones and voicemails are useless (cause it does not seem like they use them). I went in person. The receptionist took my notes and said my ex-counselor will give me a call in about an hour cause she is in a session. Never got that call back. Symptoms worsen and I checked myself into urgent care. They said I was cold to the touch, I looked physically ill, my BP was too high and they ran some tests to see any signs of a stroke. They gave me one week worth of my anti-depressant to stave off the withdrawal symptoms. This level of neglect could have gotten a lot worse. Run for your lives."

"Had a great experience with Eyelin !!! Was extremely helpful and listened to my concerns for my children !!!! On the other hand while on the phone with the office in waterbury, needs training or something because how can you have a continuous attitude while speaking to the parents of children !!! Make that make sense !!! You are dealing with children yet have a attitude when just asking simple questions!!! But luckily i went to the office in Nuagutuck and everything got resolved immediately with Eyelin !!!!"
