"Extremely manipulative. Literally advertised directly on their website that they "offer urgent orthopedic walk in care". There is an entire tab on their website titled "Urgent Care". Yet somehow when it comes to billing, they actually are not an urgent care center at all, and will bill you for a specialist. Very unethical and deceiving."
"Horrible. (Read the last sentence), but I had a Walk-in visit had X-ray done for a possible broken finger. The doctor came in and she took my finger and twisted it without warning to see if it hurt.. Sounds funny but true and it did hurt.. Then just to get a splint and a tape that she wrapped and sent me home (which is fine). 1 month later I got a bill saying the cost was $226 for the $2 cheap splint (which I got another one after) and a $3 tape I can get at cvs (which i did still)… Never told me or even bother asking me that the doctor would charge me for that Cheap tape and splint! What a scam seriously, if you go there and they ask you if want a cup of water FIRST ASK THEM IF THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE YOU FOR THAT WATER A MONTH LATER!"
"Great service! Walked in on a Sat. Was seen within 15 minutes by a PA, Johnathan Dale. Xrays done, problem identified. Explained ins and outs of protocols of insurance. Provided with meds and referral for PT, follow up in 30 days. I am pleased!"
"Told they were fully booked ~ 3 ‘walk ins’ ahead of me ( 8:15 AM) ~ I didn’t look urgent and to go home and make an appointment! I said I would be patient and wait ~ she turned to her co workers and laughed !!!! Again she said I didn’t look urgent to her ~ told her I was in pain and she continued to laugh with her co worker ~ all while being extremely loud over the partition so everyone could hear her ! I left in tears !! Worst part is I’ve had surgery with this practice ~ Drs are great ~ staff SUCKS ! You do not belong in healthcare if you’re laughing at other people pain !!"
"During my Comprehensive Orthopedics in Wallingford visit in August at first they insisted on X-ray ($156 charge) ignoring my request for ultrasound or MRI. They also told me to take a boot ($660 charge vs. $48 on Amazon) that I could not fit on my injured leg during the visit or ever at home. They told me take it anyways. Doctor told me that I would have to use crutches for up to 8-10weeks and to comeback in two weeks for another appointment. I left the clinic on crutches with $660 boot in plastic bag. (Total visit charge submitted to insurance: $1,298.00) I called customer service twice, but no one called me back. I decided not to wait for two weeks and in 4 days after the visit I went to a different orthopedics clinic in Hartford area. They did an ultrasound and 20 minutes procedure on my injured calf muscle; I was able to stand on my foot immediately after procedure and 3 days after walk without crutches (Total visit charge $974.00 and completely solved problem)."
