"I had service done on January 4th, and they did a great job! They moved things away from the walls, cleaned up under other things, scrubbed in the bathroom, and made things cleaner than they were when I moved in in May of 2019"
"I had used this company for approximately 2 years. The work started out very good during the first year, but the second year became less consistent and the services provided became hit or miss. As time went on, the work became more consistently bad. Items would be left in piles with no rhyme or reason. For example, they lost our main remote control for the TV once. As a result, I called management and asked for a set off. They would not oblige and I had to buy a new remote. The owner is inflexible. I found the remote weeks later in the kitchen over the oven. Small things like this happened consistently, but I didn't want to go to the trouble to find a new service so I dealt with it. Sometimes after a cleaning, it looked like no one was there. I would complain about this and the best that they would do was promise to send out a new crew. Keep in mind that only the first cleaning is 2 hours. After this, the cleanings are only an hour. I found this out through my Ring camera. After a recent cleaning, my family came home to find a huge hole in the wall in my daughter's bedroom. I immediately took a picture and got an estimate from my handyman. I contacted Molly Maid who told me that the maids had not reported it but they would check with them and get back to me. They got back to me and basically told me to screw myself. They said the hole had been there before they got there and that my daughter had done it by jumping off the bed (this was not possible - it was a large hole and my daughter would have been hurt if she had done it - she is only 9 years old). I asked them to prove this. To prove it, they sent me a picture that was taken of the hole at 10:15 am. I was there when the crew got there at 8:45 am. By the time I left at 9 am, they were already working upstairs. As such, it was clear to me that they took the picture at the end after they had done the damage to try to cover it. If the hole had already been there, they would have taken the picture at around 9am instead of at the end - dishonest. I pointed this out to the owner and was only greeted with silence. They also refused to give me the number for their corporate office. So, I tracked down the corporate office and was able to see why the owner is so inflexible - there is absolutely no corporate accountability. The first set of people I spoke with were beyond unprofessional and told me that I should know as an attorney that Molly Maid is not responsible for the acts of their franchisees. I disagreed and they rudely and abruptly hung up on me. I continued to call and they wouldn't even answer the phone. I finally got through to someone that was sympathetic and it was clear from speaking with her that there had been prior complaints about this franchise and owner. Despite promises to call me back after speaking to the owner, this person never contacted me again. I made myself whole by reversing payment. The lack of professionalism with this outfit is incredible. The owner is completely inflexible and unreasonable and goes by the motto "the customer is always wrong." Also note it appears that ownership changes frequently with this franchise. As bad as the owner is, the corporate office is much worse. I never have dealt with such a lack of professionalism where customer service speaks to customer rudely and don't even try to help. Even in spite of the hole, if they had just given me a credit toward the next cleaning, I would have continued with their service. The repair was less than the cost of full cleaning. So, due to the owner's inflexibility and shortsightedness, they lost a customer of 2 years and over $200 per month, plus this negative rating which is likely worth more than that. It wasn't even worth an insurance claim for them. Avoid this company at all costs. They were not honest about damaging my wall.The only positive thing I can say is that the receptionist / crew manager was excellent. She was always responsive and conveyed my issues to the owner and treated me with respect and professionalism, unlike the rest of the company."
"We used Molly Maid for the first time today. Although the service is certainly not inexpensive, it is a good value for the high quality of the work. The team of Reina and Telma did an excellent job throughout the house, cleaning areas that were regularly overlooked by other cleaning services we've used. I was particularly impressed that despite the number of items removed and cleaned on shelves, end tables, bookcases, etc., everything was – miraculously – put back exactly as it was. I highly recommend Molly Maid of Central Islip; ask for Reina and Telma if they're available."
