"If you have a high risk pregnancy, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Staff never call you back, doctors completely miss scheduling with MFM for time sensitive anatomy scans, and if something unexpected happens forget about anyone calling to check in. They just tell you to go to your old doctor for any further care."
"Prescription refilled denied until I meet with a new dr after my current dr left. Why do I have to spend money to meet a dr that won’t remember who I am when I come for a physical in 2023. I just had a physical before my dr left the practice. No wonder our health costs are so high. Anything to charge more money"
"Have been a patient at this clinic since 2012. Since then, I’ve had several doctors who rushed me through my appointments, one of which gave me absolutely no assistance in relieving my migraines; another which misdiagnosed me and gave poor advice. I finally had a wonderful physician, Dr Lishnak, for the past several years. In November, I fell and injured my back on the night my boyfriend died. I was at the ER that night waiting to find out whether or not he was alive. When I called my PCP’s office to schedule a visit concerning the pain in my back, the receptionist told me I should have gone to the ER when it happened. I explained why I didn’t and she coldly replied, “Well you should have.” Still, I asked her to schedule me in and she said, “Sorry I’m not able to do that. I can only schedule you for a routine checkup.” So I said yes to this. Remember this was back in November of last year, and she said the next availability wasn’t until April. I asked to take that appointment. When April came around, I called the office to confirm my appointment and this time I spoke to a much more pleasant receptionist who informed me that my doctor had left the office. I asked why I wasn’t informed and she could only tell me that I should have been, and even though it wasn’t her fault, she apologized. I told her I had an appointment scheduled for that month (April), but when she checked, she told me that wasn’t the case. The ##### receptionist I had spoken with in November TOLD me my appointment was in April, but she had actually scheduled me in for a random day in May. Either way, my physician had left the office and I needed to reschedule my physical, so I asked to be seen with the next available physician and the office wasn’t able to schedule me until July. Now, I’ve been trying to schedule a follow-up visit concerning a concussion I got on Friday. I tried calling over the weekend, the day after I went to their urgent care center which referred me to UConn’s ER where I was turned away by an ER triage nurse (this was all late Friday night). Saturday, I called this office to schedule an appointment and was told that the office was closed and to call back on Monday. I’ve been suffering with a piercing head ache and vomiting, struggling to stay awake and unable to keep food down. I am exhausted. Anyway, I called Monday morning and after spending about 15 minutes on hold, I decided I’d call later. I called again around 4:15 and after sitting on hold again for about ten minutes, the line disconnected. When I called again, I reached their answering service, again, and was told to call back when they open their office. I called again this morning and was on hold long enough to fall asleep. When I woke up, I was sick to my stomach, vomiting, and before I could get a grip, I fell back asleep. I woke up at 4:30 and checked on google to make sure the office was still open, and according to google, the office is open until 5pm. So I called - well before 5pm - and I reached their answering service — AGAIN! This time, I asked why I was reaching their answering service if the office doesn’t close until 5, and the woman I spoke with politely told me, “The office is open until 5, but they stop taking calls at 4:25,” and she apologized on behalf of them. I guess I’ll try to call again tomorrow if I’m not dead by then, but my gut tells me they’re going to say I should have called sooner for a follow-up visit and that now it’s going to be too late. I LOVED the first doctor (Dr Rockland) who I saw at this office in 2012, and I love a couple of the receptionists and nurses who work here. But I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve been switched from one primary physician to another, or the times I’ve been scheduled with the wrong primary care physician… If I didn’t absolutely NEED a doctor right now, I’d start looking for a new one elsewhere. This office used to be amazing until they moved and expanded. Since then, it’s been one hassle after another, and too many times, I’ve been treated like an inconvenience rather than a patient."
"So happy with the service I was provided in the lab today! I needed necessary blood work done for another health care provider and have no insurance. They provided me with resources for financial assistance. Hit a road block by not having a proper lab order (like I thought I did), but that too was taken care of quickly by both the phlebotomist and myself and I was able to finally get my blood work done!"
"NOTE: This rating is for the Family Medicine division located within the same building, not Urgent Care. I am a current patient that sees a primary provider at this location. Very happy with the kind and professional treatment I have received from all of the staff in Family Medicine, it is a caring and friendly environment. Am so grateful for their efforts to make each visit as comfortable and painless as possible. Phone calls and messages are answered pleasantly and in a timely manner. Provider takes time to listen, ask and answer questions, give honest and thorough information, or provide referrals. She genuinely cares for the well-being of her patients and it shows."
