MinuteClinic at CVS

"If I could I would give a negative number of stars. It clearly states both on their board and website that they offer school physicals. I brought my son for his appointment and they refused to do a physical. BOTH of the ? (No idea what their “qualifications” are) said they were “not comfortable” filling out the forms, refused service, and cancelled the appointment. I will never set foot in a minute clinic again. I went across the street to Hartford Healthcare and they were very nice and did the physical (it was a 3 hour wait.) They couldn’t believe minute clinic had refused service. What should have been a simple 15 minute appointment took 4 1/2 hours."

"Very unprofessional experience and would not recommend. We usually use the Avon walk in clinic (which has always resulted in a very positive experience) but figured we had to pick up a few items so we would stop in the minute clinic at CVS while we do some light shopping. Unfortunately had a very negative and disappointing experience with the clinic attendant, will not go back under any circumstances. Very unfortunate because this may affect our desire to visit that CVS in the future for shopping and for the pharmacy."

"After wasting an hour online at the recommendation of the employee I spoke with, I called back and was told that the minuteckinic and pharmacy had separate phone numbers for. The normal cvs store and that o could not be transferred. After doing research online all of the services are connected to the same number, unlike what I was told. Completely unsatisfied with the service and knowledgeablity of the employees."

"Not sure why this minute clinic location has such a low rating... I’ve been there twice in the last week. The first time, I went for strep throat and it was the closest location to me in Torrington. The nurse practitioner (Diana) was absolutely amazing. She quickly diagnosed me, answered every single one of my questions, and made me feel super comfortable. She even called me the next day to make sure everything was going okay with the antibiotics and that I was feeling better. The second time I came, I was on break from work in southington and needed to get an infected insect bite looked at. I passed all other locations and drove all the way to the Avon location because my first visit was so amazing. This nurse practitioner was also fantastic and gave me the exact same AMAZING experience. DO NOT look past this location!! I will 10000% be back."

"Went here for the first time when my daughter got strep throat and had a good experience. Wait time was minimal (although it was a Sunday), all of the staff was friendly and the doctor was great with my daughter. Made her feel comfortable. She diagnosed her strep right there and sent the prescription to their pharmacy and I was out of there in 10 minutes with antibiotics. And it was much cheaper than going to the urgent care place! I would come back and use them again."
