"The diagnosis i received and prescription given to me were as expected and agreed upon with my primary doc's diagnosis. The APRN was very thoughtful. However, the waiting room was filled with agitated waiting patients one for 3 hrs! One patient was very, very ill, coughing violently, removing her mask and moving about the area. Nothing was said to her about proper mask-wearing. The staff member sitting, ? working, at the entrance kiosk never looked up or made any eye contact with patients. She never gave any of us any encouragement or spoke of how much time ppl could be waiting. AND she had her mask on UNDER her nose. That is not setting a good example for patients. When one patient sprang up as another patient who just walked in was taken in immediately, no explanation was shared with the rest of us. She missed an important moment to explain how patients move thru your system. She only seemed to explain to the agitated patient. Only reassuring him, but the rest of us were left wondering in what order the patients were taken. Appointments taken first? Severity of illness? Or what? So many missed opportunities to separate your clinic from a clinci down the street which might show more empathy toward their pateints."
"I went to HHC -Bristol to treat "something" in my eye. The doctor prescribed an ointment rather than drops for an abrasion on my cornea, and sent the Rx to CVS Rocky Hill. I was babysitting in Bristol. 5 hours later when I went to CVS, I was told that med was not available within a 20-mile radius. The pharmacist had tried to contact HHC at 12:20 but never got a return call. She tried again while I was there, got someone at HHC and together they decided to use drops instead of the ointment. The next day, I called my eye doctor and she had me come in right away. She examined my eye and could find no sign of an abrasion. She said to stop the drops immediately. Although the staff at HHC was very pleasant, I have to question their judgement. The fact that no one returned the call from CVS does not say much for their efficiency."
"I appreciate the timely service. Dr. Paul was absolutely wonderful. He communicated throughout the process, shared knowledge about the steps and kept a calm and confident demeanor. This provided both myself and my daughter comfort during a scary time. I am very grateful for the service received and highly recommend care at this location!"
"I had excellent care. The staff are all very caring and try to make you feel comfortable. Dr Carolan made me feel better right away. I felt heard, and she took good care of me. She has a very special way to her. I would recommend this facility."
"I don’t normally write reviews but I want to warn people about Dr. Paul Larocque. I went in because I had a bad cough laringitis & sore throat. Before he even examined me he told me it was most likely viral. I explained to him I’ve had pneumonia in the past and this is exactly what I felt like. He then examined me & said I was fine & it was viral. I nicely asked him for a chest X-ray, he got angry and said I’ve been doing this for 30 years & proceeded to tell me where he’s worked & what he’s seen. He started talking down to me and treated me like I didn’t know what laringits was. I said again very nicely, Im not sure why you are arguing with me, I know my body and I would feel better if we did a chest X-ray to rule out pneumonia. He then got up and said I will not expose u to radiation, I’ll give u an antibiotic to treat pneumonia even though that’s not what you have. Then said if you want to go somewhere else and expose yourself to radiation go right ahead, We are done here have a nice day. He slammed the glass sliding door shut so hard it opened back up. I still had to change back into my shirt, I had to get up & close it before putting my shirt on. I was shaking and when I was leaving I told the nurse what had just happened & she told me to wait in the waiting room & she would go get someone I could talk to, She was very nice & caring. While I was waiting for someone to talk to the dr came into the waiting room that was filled with people and said to me are you waiting for someone because you can leave. I said the nurse told me to wait here & he said oh I see what’s going on and stormed away. Even if he was having a bad day that’s no way to treat a patient. I don’t know how this behavior is acceptable. Very upsetting and concerning."
