"It was a very long wait even after I made my appt online it was for 4:30 and I was not seen until 6:40 it is very upsetting to see that only ONE doctor is on duty no wonder there is burnout of medical personnel I am a retired nurse so I am aware of emergencies causing longer waits but this was not the case here. The doctor was very nice as the staff was but they deserve better help"
"I only went to this location because I was nearby when my son started feeling very sick. We have new health insurance and I knew AFC was on the list of urgent care facilities that accept our insurance. Walk in and female receptionist BARELY looked up at me and mumbled “I’ll be with you in a minute” she continued to do whatever she was doing on the computer for about two minutes. Fine, probably overwhelmed, understaffed, and underpaid like the rest of America. I finally register and wait when they call my sons name twice, each time thinking it was our turn, but instead each time is to discuss issues with our insurance. After the second time I finally tell them I’ll just pay out of pocket. The gentlemen that checked me out was very kind. They charge me full price and three minutes later tell me they actually do take my insurance and the manager will deal with it all tomorrow. Annoying, but literally couldn’t care less about the financial aspect at this point, I just want my son to be seen. While waiting many Spanish speaking only patients come in asking “Do you speak Spanish?” Which the receptionist responds “do you speak English? You should try” So harsh. Again, I get it, she’s probably frustrated. I’m the whitest person on earth although my husband is Hispanic and it hurt my heart to see other humans treated this way in our country. The only redeeming quality was the PA we saw was quick, kind, and cheerful. Being a manger myself, I could instantly see many areas of concern, especially in regards to customer service, that are clearly being ignored and/or overlooked. EDITING IN HOPES ILL GET A RESPONSE FROM AFC: After leaving my review, I received a response to contact them via email. I then did so without a response for days. So, I passively aggressively forwarded that email a dozen times, still with no response. After they messed up my insurance and told me it wasn’t accepted. I then self paid for the visit and a lab test. They then told me it was accepted and that a manager would call me the following day to resolve it. Not only did that never happen, I then received a bill from both AFC and Quest diagnostics. I’ve called AFC countless times, many different days of the week at many different times of the day. Each time I try to speak with someone regarding my bill I receive a message that says “Staff is out to lunch and will return at 2pm” and the call disconnects. Again, I’ve received this message at multiple times during the day whether it be 10 AM or 2:45 PM. I’ve now paid out-of-pocket to AFC and have no way to get in touch with someone to resolve the bill I’m receiving with them as well as Quest. Not only are they racist but they’re incompetent as well. The BBB will be my next route."
"Waited for over 90 minutes to *not* get an x-ray. Was laughed at by the doctor and told that people “used to wait 5-6 hours” and how “funny” it is that patients now think that only an hour and a half (when we had an appointment) is a long time to wait. Reception staff was very nice, polite, and professional though. It was just the doctor who lacked manners."
"I brought my daughter to this AFC location this morning. The staff was very nice and helpful. Yamilys the MA that took all my daughters information was efficient and kind. As was Lawrence the PA who talked to us about the diagnosis and treatment. Overall very positive experience."
"I went in today due to a cold and flu like symptoms. I absolutely love registering on my phone. It was easy and user friendly. I was able to see how many people were in front of me which was nice. The parking lot is large and has ample parking. When I arrived the young lady behind the desk was professional. Clarissa, the Nurse was very kind and compassionate. I truly felt she cared about my well being. Dr. Olala was also very caring. He didn't rush the visit and was very thorough. AFC is very clean from the foyer and check in area as well as the rooms. I recommend this location to anyone."
