Dollar General

"This Dollare general have awful customer service. I was in the self service checkout and needed help no one came to help. I by mistake because I am no thief put the garlic mice in the bag. I was just putting thing in mindless! Then I heard a voice saying “I did not pay for that so don’t steal it!!!! I was so embarrassed! I have put away more expensive stuff that I already pay for in the bag! Then a cashier came to help me! I noticed I was over charge for a hair dye! Went back to get the sale price and it was not honor!!! I would never go there again!"

"Nice store- stopped in for few food items and found all I needed. Was impressed they have a small fresh produce area, everything looked good. I wish more dollar stores had this!"

"Went to shop there 1/22/22 @ 4pm. As we entered the store passing the restrooms the Spanish music was so loud my wife and I could not even hear each other talking. Needless to say we turned around and decided to shop at another store."

"I would’ve put 5 stars but I tried calling to see if they had something in stock and the automated service wouldn’t let me speak to an actual employee. Other than that it’s always clean and employees are nice . There’s a lady I see most mornings I think her name is Bianca she’s so sweet, she literally makes my day when I see her."

"I went into the brand new Dollar General on Chase Parkway in Waterbury, CT and found it to be very clean and welcoming! I was fortunate to get to speak to the Manager Mo Maurice! What a wonderful gentleman. He spent time talking with me about his pride in running this new store! I don't normally go into Dollar General's because the grounds are often littered with overgrown grass. BUT, when I saw this one, it had beautiful green grass and there wasn't a speck of litter. That is why I went in and am so glad I did! Mr. Mo Maurice pointed out that this Dollar General has fresh produce which is just great! So I went to that area of the store and was thrilled because I needed a few things in the produce area, but didn't want to go to a major grocery store because of the crowds. I found my new place to pick up groceries and the usual items that these kinds of stores have. I finally feel comfortable going into a Dollar General because the exterior is clean and neat and the inside had a wonderful surprise of groceries and I live nearby! Welcome to Waterbury! One last thing: I had gotten gasoline next door and was so happy to see the clean grounds that I actually walked over to compliment the manager, forgetting that I left my car at the gas pump and when I came out of the store, I thought my car was stolen from the store until I saw it sitting at the gas pump. lol"
