"I recently (yesterday) had a breast biopsy at Norwalk Radiology Consultants and worked with Dr. Richard Culver. It was a great experience from start to finish. I had my very first mammogram at another facility the end of last year followed by a second appointment for an ultrasound. Both experiences were awful and disheartening; not to mention very unprofessional which is what prompted me to transfer my care to Norwalk Radiology Consultants. They came highly recommended by my mother who also receives her care there. When I called Norwalk Radiology Consultants to explain what happened, how I’d like to continue my care and follow up with them, and that I would like a second opinion, I received a call from a very friendly and professional doctor (Dr. Richard Culver) and explained my concerns. He was very nice and incredibly helpful with his feedback which resulted in me scheduling a biopsy and asking if it could be on a day when Dr. Culver was present. Fast forward to yesterday and being incredibly nervous given previous negative experiences with other providers, I was pleasantly surprised at how kind the staff were. What I found most helpful was that every step of the way, I was informed of what they were doing and what to expect. This put me greatly at ease throughout the process. In addition, Dr. Culver checked in with me throughout the process/biopsy to ensure I was okay and not in pain. Upon going home, discomfort from the procedure was minimal; I can only assume because it was done with much care. Lastly, even though I was told it would take 2-3 business days to get the results, I was called the next day and once again my mind was put at ease. Overall, an unpleasant experience (having to get a breast biopsy) was made much more pleasant through great bed side manner and professionalism which unfortunately is not a given nowadays."
