Choosing the right flight school is a crucial decision and at Interstate, we understand that cost should not be the only factor to consider. Our experienced instructors and state-of-the-art equipment ensure that you receive the best possible training to become a skilled pilot.
The Waterbury-Oxford Airport, opened to the public in 1969, is conveniently located in Oxford, just 7 miles southwest of Waterbury. With the highest number of based aircraft in a single general aviation airport in the state, our facility offers a thriving aviation community for students to learn and grow.
Our equipment includes glide slope, two Nav/Coms, intercom, transponder, push to talk, strobe lights, and is IFR certified. Minimum flight hours are required for sign off, with additional instruction available if needed. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced pilot, we offer tailored instruction to suit your needs.
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm (6pm in winter) and Saturday to Sunday from 8am to 6pm. Early closures may occur in inclement weather conditions at both locations, ensuring the safety of our students and staff.
