"I’ve seen many schools approved by the Connecticut Dept. of Education for Special Education. I looked at Woodhouse prior to their expansion and also disturbed there was no gym. I loved the program at the time, but we decided on another school as I thought it was too cramped. I’m delighted to report that the owners that now own the school, one of them was the director of the programs prior to becoming an owner, have expanded the school. The school now has a gym, an art room, and a separate area for the middle school. The science classes conduct labs in the classroom. My daughter outgrew the school we originally chose and is now attending Woodhouse. She is getting a first rate education with the proper facilities. I’m very happy with the support she needs and is learning to advocate to get what she needs, which is important in all areas of life. Finally, I’m very happy with the school and absolutely love Directors."

"When I investigated the school, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of adequately trained staff with psychological degrees. Other comparable schools offer full-time life coaches with Masters level degrees that have approximately 8-10 students assigned to them. Academic programs were extremely limited. For example, the school did not even have a lab for science classes. When I asked about physical education, the director explained they didn't have facilities and the kids would toss around a ball in classroom sometimes. The facilities themselves are sparse and uninviting.... Feels like you are stepping back in time instead of entering a therapeutic environment with high academic standards and social/emotional support."
