"ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS customer service experience at Staples Nanuet that has left me utterly appalled and deeply disappointed!!!!! I typically don't resort to writing reviews or become this upset over customer service, but my recent encounter was so inhumane, disappointing, and frankly, revolting, that I feel compelled to share my experience. I approached the girl at the shipping desk with a simple inquiry about my order for prints. She glanced at my order and claimed I had made a mistake while ordering online, resulting in it being scheduled for a day later. Fair enough, I thought. I asked if there was any possibility to expedite the process, as I needed the prints on the same day. Her response was a blunt and aggressive "No, I can't help you." Naturally, I inquired further, seeking an explanation for this refusal, but her response was delivered with the utmost rudeness, as she snapped, "Because there are seven people ahead of you waiting for the prints." Now, here's where it gets truly astonishing. At the time, I was one of only three customers in the store, and the sole person waiting near the copy section. I dared to question the time it takes to print a few sheets of paper, and she perceived it as a direct attack on her personal character. She reacted as though I had insulted her family lineage, promptly canceled my order, seemingly to assert her dominance, and treated me like an unruly child. When I inquired about a refund, she dismissively told me to "call tomorrow for a refund." Fast forward to the following day, I called as instructed to request my refund. I spoke with the manager, provided my order number and all the necessary information for the refund, as promised. To my disbelief, he claimed he couldn't locate my order number in the system due to the order being canceled. I understandably asked for guidance on what to do next, to which he responded with disdain, "I can't help you" and proceeded to mutter obscenities under his breath. The utter lack of professionalism was staggering. Is this truly how they treat paying customers? I can only hope that corporate intervenes, as they have promised. This experience has been nothing short of nightmarish, and I implore anyone considering Staples Nanuet for their business needs to think twice. It's a shame that such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior can exist within a place of business."
"Don't accept Amazon returns if you are short staffed. There was just 1 cashier for both the regular store checkout and the Amazon returns line together."
"The fat short girl at the copy and print center with the long black hair sucks. She’s very rude and nasty, the girl with the braids is also very disgusting. Customer service must improve!"
"Just moved into the area, picked up a pre ordered same day print job...not only did it come perfect, but Ritchy was very polite and courteous despite the fact that they were SEVERELY short staffed! Staples owes that man a lunch on them! BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! I was rung up by another very polite and courteous man by the name of Nick! I couldn't ask for better customer service and hope they get the help they so badly need SOON because the company needs more great employees like them!!!"
"Service in this store is not consistent. A few weeks ago the young man in the print area was professional and efficient. Yesterday the two people in the print area were inept. There were two people ahead of me. I had a sealed box for an Amazon return in plain view. The woman directly ahead of me said she had been waiting for almost half an hour. Twenty minutes later I asked for a second time if someone could just scan my package and was finally told just to leave it because it was labeled and sealed. These people should not have been alone in a busy dept without supervision. There was no store manager in sight. When I left the store there was an even longer line of people waiting for help in the print dept. I asked the one cashier where the manager was and she said in his office. No organization. No sense of urgency. Staples advertises itself as an Amazon return center but I will think twice before going back there again. I had planned on picking up some items that I needed but left with only one because there was no one to ask for assistance. Hard pass."
