"I stopped in for the iPad trade in since I couldn't get any answers online. Apparently, the staples trade in site isn't secure, chrome and safari encouraged me not to visit it. I asked for an eval to understand how much, if anything I can get for my trade in. Without being greeted, I was directed back to the register and to leave my iPad on the counter. The cashier wasn't sure what to do, so she radioed back to the girl that directed me to the register. She asked if I was recycling, I said no I wanted to see how much I can get on a trade in. She was radioed back to put in recycling so I can get the receipt. They are about 15 feet apart, by the way. I walk back to the other counter, my iPad is gone and so is the employee. Now I have to get her attention since she's still not greeted me or asked a single question. She was surprised when I said I was there for a trade in offer for some reason, as I merely repeated what I had said when I came in. She went and took a long look at the computer in the back. Finally, she came back and took a recycling sticker off and handed back my iPad saying it has no trade in value. At that time, I informed her I already had a trade in offer from apple directly for $160. So yes, it does have trade in value. $160 to be exact. I had to ask for the case which she had to go retrieve from the trash. The one upside to this, she paid so little attention to me or my iPad, that she didn't think to remove the tempered glass screen protector since it's in perfect condition. Here's why I write this review. 1) Greet your customers, acknowledge why they came in and affirm you understand what they're looking for, especially for high value items. Consumers have a LOT of other options. 2) Ask even just 1 qualifying question if you're not sure. 3) I don't care that staples isn't offering me any trade in value. It could be stated something like this. "Unfortunately at this time we don't offer any trade in value for this particular device, is there anything else I can try to assist with while you're here?" Instead of there's no value for this and handing it back to me, minus the case. No apology for the mistake or absolutely terrible service and lack of respect for me or my device. If this was handled differently, I could have walked out (iPad in hand with no trade in value) and still left a 5 star review. Lastly, train your employees on new programs, otherwise this is what happens. I no longer have a need for any of staples services or products."
"Went out of my way to review because the experience was so horrible. Unhelpful staff and outdated equipment."
"Purchased an all in one computer here. Price was right, they set it up and transferred all my data, they also gave me rewards points for recycling my old computer."
"I don’t normally give reviews at all but this one I had to because it has been and on going thing with Staples in Branford.First off Worst costumer service ever. They will have you stand there and not even verify if they receive a email or not. I literally stood there for 15mins and when I was leaving the printing service worker was like “yea I didn’t receive anything” just the lack of customer communication made me go to a different printing service. Tyco printing down the block is way less and way better at communication. Very friendly as well. I won’t be coming back to this location at all. I understand they are understaffed but at least be friendly to the costumer that is spending their money there."
"First off, I think this location is slightly under-staffed. I only ever saw two people on the floor that work there. Which is kinda not good, 'cuz this place is busy. That said, the two that were there did a bang-up job. Andrew was a big help to me and you could tell he was doing his best to tend to everyone. He and the gal at the checkout did a good job."
