"This was my first time actually hiking here I parked at Blackledge Falls there is a parking lot that probably would hold about 20 cars. I got out and headed to the left of the parking lot which led me on a cool trail I ended up going through gay City State Park and then back around in a huge Loop that took me about 4 hours to complete. I did stop along the way and get some nice pictures so that's what took an extra hour it is such a beautiful hike in the woods there was not many people there at all it was so peaceful I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you have not already you will love it there."
"My sister recommended this hike on a gorgeous June weekend in the early afternoon. We found the parking lot quickly and we were surprised that we were the only ones there. After a minute of looking at the trail signs, we started on our journey to the falls. It only took about 15 minutes (mostly uphill) on the blue/blue&white trail to get to the waterfall. This is definitely one of the smaller waterfalls I have seen. (Not in height, but in the amount of water) It is still a pretty sight. We then took the blue path all the way around and found some little critters and bridges along our way. The trails are marked very clearly and there are points where it clearly states that you will leave the trail if you take a wrong turn. Overall took about an hour. If you are looking for a quick quiet hike, this is your spot."
"Short but enjoyable hike. It Was definitely worth the hike to see these beautiful falls. Trails are well marked and dog friendly"
"I heard about this place from a coworker so my husband and I set out to find a waterfall in Connecticut. I didn't know we had waterfalls but after following the path for some time I thought about turning back because we started out with a family ahead of us but when we stopped to take pictures they were nowhere in site. But we continued and we saw two boys coming down a steep incline; it was then that we knew we were headed in the right direction. The closer we got to the falls we saw more families heading back downhill after viewing them. We are still on the right track to see Blackledge Falls. A few more steps and we were viewing two small falls. Now, this was a hiking trip; I had never spent so much time in the woods. I had an amazing time and would love to find other waterfalls around Connecticut."
