"Overall it's a pretty hike. However, as a heads up to folks: We did surprise a mangey coyote (with areas of secondary skin infection) sunning itself in a grassy/low scrub area about .2 from the Main St trailhead. It did make good life choices, but it's obviously having a rough go of things."
