"So sad. 11 big power boats parked next to the island on north side taking up the best part. Not enjoying the nature just drinking bottled beer and hanging. Its their right but it is like a rediculous encroachment on the restricted area. The Two guys roaming around the restricted area without any regards along with encircling at close distance by motor boats really diminish it as a natural beauty."
"Memories of walking out as a kid 25+ years ago came back when doing it again this year with family. You need to be aware of the tide, we planned it so we walked out from Middle Beach about 20 min before low tide, stayed for a bit, then came back to shore (water will get as high as your hips for the average adult). The grassy areas are marked not to disturb due to bird nesting (plus we hear of poison ivy up there) so stick to the rocky area along the northern edge. Lots of wildlife to check out ... mind the tides!"
