"Cool atmosphere and nice relaxing spot"
"It was truly inspirational and a humbling experience to be among a group of people on Thanksgiving Day putting the needs of others first. Food along with blankets and necessary toiletries were given. God bless those volunteers and a shout to my friends the ministry of Jesus Calling along with their food truck."
"It's a nice park but needs to be cleaned and they need to put more garbage cans so it can be kept clean, other than that it's very nice!"
"More commonly known as bum Park. This is a place in Hartford where a lot of drug transactions occur. not a good place for children at all or even really for adults. The city tries to keep it clean but the people who go there are terrible at maintaining cleanliness. Not recommended as a place to visit casually as there's only one major reason people go here and that's drugs."
"Staff isn't always honest and definitely they show favoritism. This place is for those suffering the worst in life and when they turn away some in need that's jist wrong. I let someone sleep in my car because they were turned away. I loaded them up with warm clothes and an elextric blanket plus went out at most every 3 1/2 hours to bring them a warm item to eat & drink plus starr the car for 20 min or so. In the am when I had everyone out of the house, I let them in where we washed their clothes *all they had on them was what they were wearing..no coat neither. I gave them 1 plus gloves, a hat, and thermals. Those 5 days he was off the street 20 + hours each day. I gave him an old smartphone and with the code to the Wi-Fi so he could use the internet etc. I didnt let him out of my sight so I didnt allow him to shut doors because it's December & regardless I'm not putting myself nor family in a position to lose their stuff but he showered for the 1st time in weeks..I made breakfast and lunch too."
