"gorgeous park. they have a little playground for kids and even some swings that have a view right onto the beach. it's absolutely gorgeous and the birds fly often as well, even in the winter. fun for kids, dogs, and adults ! they have free parking as well. really nice if you just want to walk and relax. sunsets and sunrises here would be perfect. it's a little rocky in the sand so i recommend wearing appropriate clothing and shoes but overall it's a great park that i would definitely visit again."
"It was a clean nice place to go fishing.. I will go again and recommend people to go there to fish.. very quiet.. loved it."
"Fort Hale Fishing Pier looks beautiful! Such a good place to find peace (except for the smell of weed and the ocassional fights but this is New Haven). My husband and I had an awesome time doing absolutely nothing."
"This is a good place to come fish. The city and State have made necessary repairs and added “amenities” to make it fishermen friendly. If folks use water lines to clean afterwards, we contribute to the life of this pier. They even have a place where you can place your disposed of fishing line. It’s clear they spoke to the experts when they put this place together. You also have a beach, although it’s rocky. Sunsets here are spectacular!"
"RELAXING. Best way to describe it. Dont reccomend if it's a holiday.. usually pretty full. Caught a baby bull shark. So yes there are sharks but honestly it's really not of body of water I would swim in! See the sunset...or at sunrise which is what I did this morning....enjoy the rabbits and other wildlife outside as well."
