"Didn’t find it any better than other dog parks in Ct. As someone wrote worth the drive yeah no, though my grand dogs didn’t notice they we’re having a great time with the other dogs going after the balls the other dog owners and I were throwing for about 20 - mins until this older man and I’m guessing his granddaughter with their white dog came and their dog tried to take the ball from my youngest grand dog which made her naturally fight for what was in her mouth. The older man has the nerve to say she need to learn how to pay with others. No maybe you should teach your dog not to take from others especially out of their mouths. SORRY RIDGEFIELD you’re dog park is not all that!"
"Great Park for Dogs, owners on the other hand are terrible. A lot of ladies who us it as socialize hour instead of watching their dog’s behavior, also a lot of favoritism from locals to locals. Not friendly to outsiders. Be prepared to separate someone else’s dog from yours if the time comes, they will not and then blame you."
"What a great place! Absolute must no matter the dog you have. Big dog area, small dog area and even separate areas for those dogs that prefer to be separate."
"Excellent mid-sized dog park in a great neighborhood. There are two separate sections for dogs over/under 40lbs, with the over 40lbs section being a bit more adventurous. There was a good amount of dogs there on Saturday afternoon, but not overcrowded. Will definitely come back again!"
"Now that the holes in the fence are blocked off it is close to perfect. It is a place for dogs AND people. It has the best conversation in town in the covered seating area for humans. It has plenty of room to run in separate areas for dogs under/over 40 pounds. Both sides have a brick pathway all the way around along the fence to walk on. It has lighting until 9 pm. It has convenient water on both sides, with an additional spot for washing off dogs that rolled in the dirt. Poop bags are provided with a garbage drop on the way out. Parking is right there and plenty of it, unless there is a baseball game going on. Only two small wishes. I wish the grass was better maintained, it needs more grass seed. And a couple more shade trees on the little dog side because the two plum trees have a neurotoxin in the pits, which sickens the dogs in fruit season. The rotting fallen plums attract bees that sting the dogs. We do our best to pick them up but there are thousands(really). That said, it is still a great place! Whoever designed this place did a great job. Unlike other towns the Bark Park Dog Park is open to all, there is no key pad to keep out of towners out. There are a few common sense rules, mostly for the safety of the dogs posted by the entrance. Very welcoming!"
