"Ok first off Google maps tried to get me to take a shortcut over 4x4 only back roads over a ricketey one lane bridge. The actual turnoff is five miles to the north. Once I found it the campground is wonderful. It's a weeknight in September and there are only three sites occupied, and none nearby. There's some noise from boats on the lake but that's gone by sundown."
"We've been here a couple times now for weekend camping trips. As an out-of-state camper, the rates aren't anything to write home about, but our overall camping experience has been excellent. In fact, this may be my favorite campground yet. Helpful rangers, very clean bathrooms with regularly stocked supplies, excellent site privacy and easy walk to the beach. Nature sounds are prevalent, but definitely interrupted regularly with children playing, camper's music, and the occasional dog barking. Each campsite has a fire ring with grill, bear box and a sturdy picnic table. You are strongly encouraged to use the bear box as rangers report multiple bear occupants in the area. (We've never seen one here.) A Nature Center on location offers programming during the summer. If you're a dog parent, it's also a perk that you can bring your furry family members, if you're so inclined! Firewood can be purchased from the ranger station. In 2023, that's $7 a bundle. I do wish they also sold kindling. We arrived on a rainy weekend and struggled to find dry kindling."
"My boyfriend and i went camping here for a few days. It’s a nice campground with an easy walk to the beach on the lake. It was quiet for the most park except for the occasional loud and upset child. The rangers patrol the area to make sure that everything is running smoothly (which we appreciated). You are required to keep any food / hygiene items in the bear box . There are black bears in the area and it’s important to keep these items out of the bears’ access."
"A great place to meet up with family for a day trip or some long over nights!"
"Really beautiful place to camp with every thing you need. Shower, restroom with toilet paper and soap. Fountain of drinkable water. A small beach where you can swing during the day ans watch the stars during the night."
