Reviews of Farmington Canal Heritage Trail
"Well maintained mostly paved trail that meandered next to or near the Farmington River. We brought our bikes, and on our crisp fall day the trail itself was super nice. All areas that crossed roads had good signage with crosswalks and some alert signals. Many people were out with strollers and runners. Lots of side areas with bench seats to stop at, and enjoy the sound of the water passing by"
"The canal trail is a clean paved bike path thats well maintained and always in use by a lot of people. I have jogged there many times. Lots of tree cover and there are public restrooms. The path goes right by an industrial plant or two, which kind of goes against the whole "being in nature" concept. But besides that, a nice little getaway for stretching one's legs, solo or with a friend."
"The part that we walked was all paved. The person I was walking with said the whole trail was paved from beginning to end. Really nice well kept up trail."
"We love the trail. Try to get a walk/run in everyday weather permitting. And if you're quite you might see some wildlife."
