"Peaceful, easy hike. Beautiful tree lined trails. Trails are straightforward, well marked and easy to follow. Nice for short nature walk. My only reason for taking away a star is because I found a couple areas near and in the tower and the abandoned stone hut along the first half of the trail had a ton of broken glass everywhere. Of course my dogs wanted to go sniff and explore, thankfully they were on leash. I’ve been here a few times, and never went into the tower to check the view because I had my dogs with me. So while it’s dog friendly (on leash) beware of glass. Something to keep in mind if taking small children as well. Also, lots of poison ivy the deeper you get into the trail."
"Mount Tom was at capacity, so we went here. Wasn’t crowded at all and plenty of walking trails."
"Beautiful area. The trail is well maintained. Parking area is small."
"Camp Columbia is a wonderful place to visit. The hiking trails are well marked, the sights are well worth your while, and the thick green canopy of the forest allows you to feel cool even on a hot summer day. The tall tower at the start of the trail is quite the sight to behold as you ascend. Hope you're not afraid of heights!"
"We went there for hike later in a fall , most leaves was already down but the place is gorgeous with beautiful view from that tower. Different recommended place for walking with the dog or hiking."
