"Coastal Cabinetry company did the old bait and switch on us. They have a partner Lopez Remodeling that said they would be doing the installation and would handle everything. Well, day one, they brought in a sub-contractor and 2 kids to start the work. After major errors in demo, prep, and installation of cabinets and floors they brought in another Queens based contractor who proceeded to botch the final installation of the cabinets and appliances, plumbing, electrical, trim, and crown molding. Their references had checked out okay but when this happened, I wanted everyone to know that Coastal Cabinet and its sister/parent LLC, Darien Kitchen and Bath, as well as Lopez Remodeling did an extremely poor job designing the new kitchen and doing/managing the installation. THE WORK IS STILL INCOMPLETE! Totally unprofessional and unethical. It is now nearly impossible to find contractors willing to fix what was done incorrectly and left unfinished. To add insult to injury they asked for final payment in order to get Lopez Remodeling out to remediate, correct, and finalize the work. BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS!"
