I went in, associates are not interested in helping, point you around the store, don't take time to work with you. I had to chase them down for follow ups and they still dropped the ball."

"We had help from Holly at The Westchester shopping mall. She is an FIT graduate and worked tirelessly designing a new living room for us. She helped us with fabrics, a sofa, a beautiful rug, a swivel chair and a media unit. She stayed with us for hours until we had the perfect design. "This is a review of one specific location (White Plains at the Westchester), on one specific day (a wintry afternoon in February 2022), and one specific person (Sonia), but it also happens to be a review of my entire journey with Crate for 15+ years. When I had my first job in NYC, I used to (willingly) spend half my paycheck at Crate and its funky cousin, CB2, down in Soho. Recently, I needed some new furnishings and had the great fortune to stumble into the store and speak with Sonia. She was not only design savvy (as in, I trusted her design judgment and aesthetic recommendations), but she was also engaging, dynamic, and fun. Elevated customer service. She's the type of person I would like to work with (or for) if I ever left the comfort of my home office. She made the furniture-purchasing experience stress-free and enjoyable. If I could give her a raise myself, I would. Also, I had only a brief exchange, but the manager of the store (Allisa) gave off really good vibes--and let's face it, retail is all about vibes. The White Plains store is beautiful, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out. I find myself visiting a few times a year--even when I don't need anything. Just for inspiration, or to kill an hour. This time I needed a ton of furniture, and I'm glad I chose this place over the competition. Plus, Crate does a lot of business with Europe (including my motherland, Poland), and they seem to be making a bigger push toward the sustainability / fair trade / support-local-artisans movement. I hope they continue moving in that direction (because, heck, otherwise: global warming and social unrest are no bueno). Because of the exceptional customer service, I'm giving this place 5 stars. Also, this long-a%% review is really just an excuse to show off a photo of the dope mirror they had on display. Thanks for reading, and may you thrive--in your career and in life."

"Are you kidding me??? I came all the way to pick up my online order. I checked on Google and the website, even their door tag shows the store closes at 8!!!!! It was 7:09!!!! And it was closed!!! Not buying anything from this store anymore!!!"
