"This recreation center offers a lot of options. Whether you just want to hit the gym or jog on a track. They fits for volleyball and basketball, as well as amazing fitness classes that make you break a sweat. Overall the facility is very incorporative and you can just do what you like to do."
"The rec-center is a very adequate facility for staying in shape. Lots of room for cardio, but the weights section is generally extremely busy during the semester, at peak lines may begin to form at the weights on the first floor."
"For a D1 school with +26,000 students, the weight lifting portion of the gym couldn't be smaller. Gets way to crowded with inexperienced lifters, have had weights dropped on me multiple times. Plenty of space upstairs for cardio and functional training. Basketball courts too frequently closed for alternative sports when a fully capable gym is available on the lower level to accommodate them. Space scheduling needs new overhead. Space rental not well planned at all. Way better off going to your local gym...only use when stuck on campus late studying as hours are convenient during the week. Staff is hit or miss. Some can be the nicest people you'll meet others complete scumbags...good luck and wear steel toed boots in the weight room!"
"Pretty nice for a college gym. I have one horrible experience here that lowered my score to 3 stars. I was doing squats when someone who did deadlifts in one of the deadlifts station dropped his weight on the floor when he was done. I have no problem with that, that man is just doing his workout. However, the bar then rolled toward my foot in the middle of me doing squats and as a result i had lost my balance and dropped the weight. Luckily for me i was only doing a warm-up set. But i feel it is an inevitable law suit waiting to happen that can simply be avoided if the gym management simply moved the deadlifts platform or squat rack further away from each other to avoid this situation. The gym is also almost ALWAYS busy, be prepared to ask a lot of people if you can work in with them!"
"I workout here in the morning around 6am, that is when the Rec center opens up. I love that it's really quiet. The staff is super friendly and doesn't much interact with you unless you ask them a question, which is great since I don't like interruptions during my work out!"
