"Great place. Pool starts at 1 ft or less deep which is good for the kids and very gradually gets deeper. Park at the Inn for 10 bucks and it's a somewhat long-ish walk to the pool. Eventually you'll get to a path that goes underneath the highway (few flights of stairs or wheelchair accessible ramp) and arrive at the zoo and pool. At the time of writing, Aug 2022, cost is 5 dollars per person cash only. No free kids etc."

"Went today with my 3 daughters. I live in Wanaque NJ so the ride was about 35 mins or so. I can’t believe I didn’t know of this place sooner. If I had known it was this easy, clean, and an honest friendly environment I would have went long ago. Everyone leaves their things poolside and it’s such a trusting environment that you don’t have to be there watching your things and you can actually relax in the pool worry free. It’s easy to get in @ 10$ parking 5$ per person. I’ll be going every Monday until summer is over because it’s worth it. It’s super clean also and the water isn’t the burn your eyes chlorine type. It’s the Perfect pool water amount. I recommend it 100%. The scenic beauty is a sight to behold in itself."

"So, there is this pool, in the forest, on the side of a mountain hovering over the Hudson River. 25 min from Manhattan. Shhhhh. Don't tell anybody!"

"Pool and restroom facilty is always clean and now even more so due to our current times. I feel safe with the limited capacity. You can social distance and still enjoy a great swim. If you plan to BBQ the grounds are clean with plenty of picnic tables. Just make sure to bring your own grill as there are none at the park like some of the other state parks."

"They put the Bear mountain pool in a lovely spot and even though it was a pool and not a lake it's still look natural being there. We enjoyed our time there but then some camps came in and got crowded so we left. We hope to return another day to enjoy the beauty of the pool or I should say the beauty surrounding the pool"
