"I graduated in 2022, and Sustainable Architecture was my trade. Both the shop and academic programs are good. You learn a lot in whatever shop you choose- I definitely learned a lot in shop! Mr. Buonocore and Ms. Bruno are great shop teachers, shoutout to them. You make a lot of fun memories in shop. There are several options for sports, but there aren't tons of clubs. I like the uniform policy and overall the school rules are fine. I will say, I wish I got to be in the new school, but that's fine. The teachers and staff are great."

"School wasn't good when I attended in the 90s. The culture has improved which is why I give 2 stars. Recently tried to get my transcript and it was a mess. They never sent it out and I was not able to start school on time."

"I would truly rate this place 0 stars. It is absolutely horrible here, I regret my decision to not go to my town school daily. I am writing this during my senior year. Everything here fell apart completely, while the school wasn't in the best physical shape at least people tried to up keep it. But now, its common for trash to sit in hallways for weeks if not a month, ceiling tiles to be pulled down and nothing be done about it, the tile just sits on the ground for weeks. Academics far from good here, no exaggeration have not learned a single thing since the 8th grade, this school is a complete waste of time. If it wasn't for the trade I would have left the day after I started. On top of this administration is a total joke. Certain higher ups will email/call parents and lie about what actually happened, leaving very few true elements of the story in her version. The other principal is the same way, builds the school up on false statements, its like he fears to tell us whets going on. Maybe because its not uncommon for him to slip up with some private info ;). I bet they try to take this review down or call me down to the office and to that I say, it would do nothing but prove me right. Trust me and go to your town school, you will be better off!"

"Class of 03. Wish I attended my local high school instead and got a more real education. Education in academics was very below par of other schools which did not prepare me at all for college which caused me to have to take refresher courses. Shop class was informative and I learned many skills, but career paths change post graduation as you become a young adult and find a different/more appealing career path/calling in life. During my time, Platt was filled with more "troubled youth" that where disruptive, bullies, acting out, etc and took away from focusing on learning in class. School administration at that time was a joke on all levels in regards to watching out for students safety and interest. Tech schools are not always the way to go, especially if you are interested in non blue collar careers. Go to your towns high school for a better education if you plan on going to college for architecture, engineering, computers, etc. Go to Platt if you plan on not going to college and see yourself becoming a mechanic, plumber, etc. One of my biggest life regrets was going here. Wish I was smarter in 8th grade before choosing and interviewing for Platt and accepting my acceptance. Then again, in 8th grade you don't really know what you want to be as you continue to learn and grow as a being."

""Flagship" technical education in manufacturing as said by the superintendent, years ahead of other schools both curriculum and equipment wise. Can't say much about other trades as I haven't experienced them. There are some problematic administrators and teachers that will genuinely make you wonder how some of them got their degree with the basic logic that they lack but I'm sure you could say that about any high school. There are some amazing teachers too though, some that are really passionate about their jobs. Building is falling apart but a new building is in the process of beginning construction. This is NOT the place for you if you're just trying to get through high school just to get through high school. Also the people complaining about the math program are just lazy and are used to getting through a course by retaining a 10th of the information and never being followed up on it. 2.5 years almost done with 4 courses. The food is terrible."
