"Friendly and professional staff, good equipment, and programs. Opportunity to learn the best moves for you by caring trainers. The only negative isn't about the staff but the location is car-centric. You need to hop in a car to use the facilities. The Y has a sidewalk to nowhere, a problem created by the town of Ellington. It is not pedestrian and cycling-friendly to get to the location of the YMCA. Pinney Street is dangerous, with cars speeding like in NASCAR races, and no breakdown lanes, pedestrian crossings, or calming strategies to safeguard people."

"After a three year hiatus thanks to Covid, I started back and I love it. It's nice to go to the classes that push me beyond what I would do on my own and of course they have all the cardio and weight equipment one would want. I also like the fact that most of the clientele seems to be our age. Hopefully I can keep going for years to come. The staff are very nice and attentive."

"We've been taking our kids to the YMCA in Ellington for a few years now, and we are really happy with the kindness of all the staff. We love that Ms. Lisa, the swim instructor, does nor rush and takes the time to show the kids all the activities for the lesson of the day. She's very knowledgeable and comes to talk to the parents after the lesson is over about the child's progress. We didn't experience this in the past with any other instructor, and we love it. It definitely feels like a more personalized class than before."

"Amazing staff and extremely clean Facility. Very warm and friendly people from the moment you walk in. I have been to a few gyms some extremely fancy some not so much. This place makes me feels like I am a part of an extended family trying to stay fit and healthy. Body,mind,and spirit."
