"This school is long past it’s glory days. They will fail you for absence excused or unexcused. I barely made it out by taking extra courses proceeding Covid pandemic. Online school was a failure for Windsor locks high and they took no responsibility for those who were effected. Rather- punishing them. The language arts courses here are standard - everything else is far below. alongside that, Spanish is the only course you can take as a world language - and they fail at that aswell. There is no private tutoring and no way to excel. Windsor locks high school is looking for money and nothing else. The shift from leadership was significantly worse and only changed what needed not to be changed. The grading system is an absolute joke and requires colleges to PARTICIPATE alongside there shenanigans for students to even understand there real world placement. A,b,c,d, and F have been replaced with 1,2,3,4 and means nothing because you have to do extra work to receive an “A”. PowerSchool averages out your grades so if you didn’t play by the book in the first two simesters there is a 0% chance of passing. This school struggles passing seniors due to neglecting them right until the very end. And staff cannot speak for themselves at meetings as they fear losing there job over having a voice. They lock bathrooms, leaving only two open at once. Have fun traveling across the entire property looking for an unlocked bathroom! The music department is neglected alongside the art department. If you’re coming from Windsor locks middle school, forget everything you learned. There is no translation and the entire operation is sloppy. Overal this is currently the worst high school you could ever send your child to. In my senior year, I witnessed between 30-50 fights. If you’re child has adhd or special needs - prepare to battle for what is right. Headphones and phones are outlawed in that place. Free speech is more or less permitted depending on your political standpoint. Do not send your child here."
