"Educationally, exceptional. Administratively, train-wreck. On the roof sits an overpaid bureaucrat wearing a beanie onto which is scotch-taped a weather vane, who holds a hand-clicker counting snow flakes. When six flakes hit the building, the lethargic-voiced chancellor calls parents — either in the butt-crack of dawn or as late as 6am — with an announcement that school is delayed or closed. Just up Haight Road is Eugene Brooks Intermediate, and Webutuck High School (two entrances in the same building)."
