"I have been a frequent shopper of Jos A Bank's for years! I wear suites and Business Casual for work every day and most of the time when not working. I recently had a very important event to go to and stopped into the store for them to dress myself and my Husband for the event. They assisted us in finding nice formal suites, a few of the items had to be ordered. I paid for expedited shipping. Two days before the event my Husband went to pick everything up. They messed up the tie they ordered, they ordered the wrong shirt for my Husband. Their answer was to tailor one and overnight the correct ones. Here we are the day of the event and we are stuck with 2 different ties, one doesn't really match the suites and his shirt never arrived. VERY disappointing with the exuberant amount of money spent for 2 suites, shirts, cuff links, etc and expedited shipping. When asked for Store Managers names we were told he never goes often and the two helping us were "acting managers"."

"First of all, I write this review in this context: I've shopped at Jos A. Bank over the last 20-25 years on an infrequent basis but enough to say I'm a customer. I've also shopped at multiple locations in multiple cities as well. In addition, while I haven't read into the 1-Star reviews, in a thorough way, I'm surprised there are so many of them with this specific store. In fact, I get that people have bad days, but the managers of the store, Raegan & Maxwell, are extremely professional and attentive to the needs of the customer, so there's the rub for me and the other folks I've interacted with are most courteous. I am also quite a particular & demanding customer, for which this hasn't been an issue with this store, and for that, I write this review out of loyalty & gratitude. Raegan, a Manager, and Maxwell, her counterpart and also a Manager, in the multiple interactions I've had with them, were always on-point and intuitively understand what I need, especially given that I am always visit in a rush and with "my hair on fire." They always calmly listened to my needs and tried to assist with whatever my goal is for that occasion's store visit. On the last visit, I was in need of a "performance-style" dress pant because I was tired of trying to go the cheap route (through Costco or other vendors) to get something that could be dressed up or down. She knew exactly what I was looking for, suggested their Traveler Performance slack, which was true to form and exactly what I needed. The paints are durable, have a beautiful sheen to them, could be worn with a button down & with or without a jacket, have an expandable waist (not old people talk here; just saying bc my weight fluctuates with intermittent fasting). The end result was a store visit of less than 15 minutes, receiving exactly what I desired because they had a clothing solution to match, and to top it off, I also had enough left on my gift card to take home a nice tie. Thank you, Raegan & Maxwell. Thank you, Jos A. Bank, West Hartford. Keep up the great, attentive, hard work, and don't let the naysayers get you down. I appreciate your store and your service. Therefore, I highly recommend this Jos. A. Bank, and should you ever have a problem with your service, Raegan & Maxwell, Managers, would be happy to solve your issue & concern. Great work all! "The West Hartford, CT is the only store within a 2 hr radius of us. My husband has gotten multiple wedding suits (both purchased and rentals) over the past few years and he has yet to have a correct order or easy process. Each time he has received a wrong item despite there being a specific wedding code that shows exactly what it should be. He’s also had measurements be so off that he’s had to go back 3+ times until it’s right. We definitely will never shop at Joseph A personally."

"We rented a tux for my husband for a wedding. Out of the four trips we made to the store, they were terribly understaffed three times. We waited a long time to be helped and then the people helping us were dividing their time between multiple customers so we really didn't get great service. When we got home from picking up the tux, we discovered the pocket square was missing. They were able to find one but it required an extra trip to the store which was annoying. Overall, not a good experience. We will look for other options next time."

"The person that was fitting me did a less than job, was more than happy to take my money and tell me that my suit would be in next week. Three weeks later no suit, no call and I called in for a refund. At least they were prompt about that. I can not recommend this place. Reply: Fixing the problem will fix the problem, as for me, this was probably the last suit I would have ever bought as I plan to be buried at Arlington in Uniform. Train your people a lot harder than you think they need to be trained."
