"Mercy is a University like DeVry or UofPhoenix are Universities. Horrible instructors, Horrible administration that DISCRIMINATES against students with disabilities, ESPECIALLY the Provost's Office. If you want to be belittled, told your disability "isnt real" and taken advantage of by unscrupulous capitalists and be surrounded in your courses by dumb guidos (Im Italian, lay off me), than Mercy is the "University" for you ;)"
"Graduated from here and my experience was good for the first year then it was downhill after. Few good professors but the majority are kinda lost in their way of modern tech and events. The whole administration doesn't know how to handle degree requirements and keep track of students who have scholarships and have proof of it and forgetting to not over bill students..."
"To me Mercy college was the worst experience, it made me never want to come back to NYC. The tuition cost is definitely not worth it. The food quality was bad and poorly prepared, also found hairs in my food frequently. The workers at the canteen tried mostly to make me and every one else to overpay, and deny including certain things that were supposed to be included in your meal, according to the meal plan. The education level.. mostly I learned by my own initiative, not from the professors and homework. For example, my Software teacher did not appear for our first class, since she did not know how to use Zoom. The dorms did not impress either, I understand they saved money there even in Manhattan, where it was supposed to be new. The last and the biggest headache was to just withdraw from the study. The administration was messy, unhelpful and unprofessional in this case. I had to BARGAIN for the price of just leaving, right before the semester started. The price seemed like depends on who it concerned. My friend who had contacts didn't need to pay at all, and someone else paid less than me. The first price I got was crazy stupefying, then after ALOT of arguments from my side, and a lot of avoiding me with no response, and mostly late and unhelpful responses, it got down, significantly. I'm just happy this nightmare is over. list of disappointments could continue..."
"At Mercy, they keep the tuition costs low but you get access to instructors and faculty that also teach at the Ivy League level schools in the NYC area. It is a great discount and a great education. Mercy College has done a lot of work over the past few years to completely update the campus facilities and dorms. There has also been significant changes to the Manhattan campus. The college cares about the experiences and lives of it's students which is why it has spent significant money and resources to improving the facilities and culture around campus to build a true residential community that benefits both the residential students and commuter students. All of the campuses are gorgeous and provide top notch access to education for the students."
